House and property were great!

  • 5 of 5

This property was great and the owner was exceptional. We were delayed due to a blizzard in Denver and since we arrived late at the house upon calling the owner he said it would be perfectly fine to extend our stay an additional two days in the house. WOW! What an accommodation. Easy access to all the runs and everything in the house was just as stated. Great stay!

Bronze rated at best

  • 2 of 5

We expected a platinum rated property but we found, at best, a bronze rated property. Pictures, are professinally made and avoids kitchen and bathrooms, not reflecting the state of the bulding. Nothing has been updated since 1980's. Appliances falling appart, kitchen doors screwed together, futnitures faded and bathrooms outright discusting. You need to walk downhill for 5 minutes to get to the bus, it's 10 min ride, and then another 7-8 min walk to the lift. For the price it is the worse property we have rented in decades.

Owner's Response: We have never received a rating less then 5 stars since we started renting to VRBO in 2011. The house is a ski house that is constantly upgraded. All the bedding, the hot tub, water heater, windows, decks, are all less than 2 years old. The house has a wood burning fireplace and sleeps 10 people. We are in Vail and have decorated the house in the Vail Mountain style. The house is warm and very clean when people arrive for the vacation. I am sorry this vacatoner did not enjoy their stay.

Wonderful home for our family ski vacation.

  • 5 of 5

My extended family which included 10 adults (6 college age) all stayed at this wonderful townhome for a week of spring skiing. It was great to have a kitchen for all of our meals and the home comfortably slept all of us. The owners have a well stocked pantry and kitchen cupboards with plenty of dishes, pots, pans and spices. Along with the comfortable bedding was the lovely fireplace sits where we congregated to watch our "go pro" movies from the day skiing enjoy the fire, watch movies and play charades. The fireplace was well stocked with cut wood and we enjoyed the fire both in the mornings and evenings. The lovely kitchen table was surrounded by mountain views which everyone enjoyed and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the private hot tub that was used nightly. Had I not been on the slopes every day I would have gladly lounged at the home without complaint. The townhome is located close to the slopes on the bus line, but several of us just walked to Lionshead for a bit of exercise. I would absolutely return to this home. Thank you to the owners and Alan for making our stay so much like home.

Perfect family get away

  • 5 of 5

Truely a home away from home. Perfect place for our adult children to meet us for a week of skiing and family time. The kitchen was furnished with all the utensils and pots and pans we needed to do some fun gourmet cooking in the evening. Sleeping provisions were good and everything was in good working order and very nice condition. This was a jewel:)

This is a winner

  • 5 of 5

This house is a winner. Comfotable, views of the ski slopes that are outstanding, and comfortable beds. The caretaker Alan is helpful and responsive for thr one time we had a question. The private hot tub was used by all and even though it is outside the heated water never allows you to feel cold. The master bathroom is the biggest we ever saw and so was the master bedroom. The dinning room and kitchen are comfortable for everyone, and the dining rioom table is large enough for our entire group. If you have never been tio Vail you must go. It is a pievce of heaven on Earth. I think you will love Vail and this house as much as we did.

Car: recommended

Ski: Vail Colorado is one of the best and largest ski resorts in North America. Vail boasts three distinct areas of the mountain, each with their own features and fortes, including three terrain parks, seven back bowls and 5,289 acres of freeride terrain. At seven miles wide, finding fresh tracks is as easy as finding elbow room. In fact, on an average day, there are only two skiers per acre, and on a busy day, only four! In the summer, explore Vail Mountain on foot, bike, or horseback. Gondola and select chair lifts run in Summer too.
