The name of our house is 'Dream Come True' and it has truly been a dream. Our home can make your dreams come true too! Bring your family and friends for a relaxing vacation on Lake Gaston. Our home is located in the very popular “Pea Hill Creek” area. We have all the comforts of home and a wonderful lake in the backyard. The gently sloping yard takes you to the waters edge and boat house. There is a vacant slip in the boathouse to tie up your boat (slip without a boat-lift).
We have a small floating ramp/dock that is a safe place to dock your jet skis as well. (When it is not being used for jet skis, it is fun to watch turtles and ducks sun themselves on the ramp.) Additionally there is a private boat ramp/launch in the neighborhood for your 'private' use only. The water at our Pier is about eight feet deep at the end of the pier gently sloping back to a few inches of water at the shoreline.
The house is 2500 square feet and has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two full kitchens. High speed wireless internet is available.

This home is a perfect getaway for my family. The weather was perfect, the house was immaculate (they even had little soaps in the bathrooms!) The jet tub was heaven! We spent most of our time out on the dock. We sat in the sun, read, swam and then at night we had an outdoor fire in the fire pit and made smores. The house had everything we need to make our meals and there were some books and games available too. The grocery store is about 10 minutes away, which was perfect. The house is deceiving large, you wouldn't know from the outside how big it is in on the inside. This home can easily fit a dozen people! And it was enough space that the kids could hangout downstairs while the adults were upstairs. I also love the amount of trees in the back yard, giving you some shade during the day! Brian and Jean were wonderful to work with, they truly cared about our experience renting their beautiful home. I've rented many homes in NC and this is my new favorite. We will be returning.
Accommodations were great and could have had more people. We had 8 adults and 4 children from 2-8. Accessories were available and plentiful I.e. Kitchen utensils and bbq equipment. Boathouse was perfect for docking, loading and embarking. Owners were accessible and very willing to make our vacation terrific. We would definitely stay there again. Thank the owners for a trip/vacation we will all remember fondly.
This house was so much more then I could have ever imagined. There was so much room and so much to do. We did do a lot of fishing which we loved so much. We rented a pontoon which was awesome. We ate at the Point and had the best service and more food then you could eat and there were 12 of us. If we needed anything Jean was only a phone call away and very nice. The only thing that was not liked by almost all of us was the Dish box we had a lot of problems trying to figure out how to watch two different shows on each tv which meant my father only watched news and sports in the house. He does not share well. We just learned that all that was there we never own dish. But there was nothing else to complain about. Nights on deck were just breath taken of the lake. We look forward to coming back again.

We just stayed in this lovely home with lots of space, great location, and everything provided that you might need. We really enjoyed our stay, found the information provided very helpful, and the owners very accessible by phone and email. We would love to stay here again in the future--perhaps for a week or more in the summer. Really quiet and beautiful location and the home is well stocked and cared for.
The property was very clean & inviting. Love that there were kayaks and a hammock to relax in. The house feels private in an alcove of the lake and a great place to enjoy the weather.
The house and the view was amazing. The house was very clean when we arrived and provided a nice and relaxing weekend. They even have kayaks that we were able to use which was a lot of fun! I would definitely stay here again the owners were very helpful and the house was everything as described.

Lake Gaston is 20,300 acres of clear, blue, fresh water; 34 miles long with 350 miles of shoreline. The scenic beauty of the lake with its relaxing atmosphere and the traditional hospitality of the people creates the desire to return again and again.
Boating is a never ending delight on this beautiful lake. That is not an accident. The entire lake bottom was completely cleared before the lake was flooded to insure a high degree of boating safety. No wonder, then, that Lake Gaston is considered one of the best lakes on the east coast.
The water of Lake Gaston is officially classified A-2, the highest category found in the eastern USA. Water Level is consistent. Under normal conditions, it will vary less than one foot.
Long Season - Normal temperatures allow water sports from May through September. Marinas offer year round fishing and boat services.
Fishing goes on all year long on fabulous Lake Gaston. Striped bass, largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, brim and many other fish are caught in abundance. Virginia and North Carolina Wildlife Commissions stock the lake.
If some members of your family feel left out because they don't fish or ski, there is a lot more to do during your vacation. We have some videos, DVDs, and books to use while on vacation. The back yard facing the water is large and flat - great for playing ball.
Our house is set back from the main cove so your whole family can enjoy swimming and playing near our boat house without fear of heavy wakes or careless boaters ruining your day. Your family will also enjoy hanging out on our spacious deck. There they will find a good place to read or talk - maybe take in a little sun. In the evenings, the fire-pit near the shore is a great place to gather and roast marshmallows.
If your non-water people want more to do, they can make a short trip to Roanoke Rapids for shopping, movies and other entertainment. The quaint town of Warrenton has a nice historic district with antique shops and other points of interest. You can take a tour of Rosemont Winery and Art Gallery which is about 15 miles west of the house.
There are a variety of activities that can be enjoyed around the lake. You can go to the flea market on the weekends or play putt-putt golf. The area also has several golf courses available.
