About the property

5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, sleeps 12

Beautifully decorated and built in 2008 - our home features a large family room that allows everyone to be together - a dining table that seats 8 and a large granite island with bar stools. The kitchen has stainless appliances and granite counter tops - it is designed for those in the family who love to eat while they watch those who love to cook! Elevator has access to all floors for hauling luggage and groceries.

The first floor features an open floor plan of the family room with a Queen Sleep Sofa, kitchen, and dining area, with a half-bath off the entry, plus a bedroom with a king bed, a sliding door that opens onto the front porch and private bath . The family room opens to the outside through 2 sets of sliding glass doors onto the porch/deck which has a gas grill, patio table for 6, and 5 wonderful rocking chairs!

The second floor has 4 bedrooms each with its own private bath. The master suite has a king bed, the 2nd bedroom a king bed, the 3rd bedroom a bunk bed twin over full with a twin trundle, and the 4th bedroom a king bed.

The family room has a Blu-ray player and 55' TV with WiFi connectivity, Netflix, Amazon or other streaming media accounts you have on your laptop can be wirelessly connected to the television to watch your favorite movies! Also the Master Bedroom and the Bedroom on the main floor have a DVD player.

The Beach is less than a 6 minute quick and easy walk and we are providing a large wagon (30'x48') you can use to pull all your towels, sand-buckets, and toddlers!

After the Beach, come home to a cool, tranquil backyard with pool and hot tub! The outdoor enclosed shower and landscaped yard are completely fenced in. There is a kids picnic table and water/play table. The swimming pool is heated with no additional fee April through October (heat turned off November through March).

We want to encourage families to enjoy our home as our 3 daughters and son-in-laws have 10 children (ages 9 - 1) and because of all our grandchildren we know what will make your vacation easier: 2 Pac-N-Plays with sheets and 2 high chair seats that strap onto a dining chair.

Thank you for considering our Beach home for your upcoming vacation!

We hope to hear from you...

About Ann Weathersby

Being semi-retired has allowed us more time with our 10 grandchildren, ages 9 - 1. Our three daughters and son-in-laws all live 15 minutes from our home in Tennessee, so it is always filled with happy chaos! Isle of Palms is 6 hours from our home in East Tennessee and with interstate all the way, is an easy drive from the Smoky Mountains to the beautiful Isle of Palms.

Why Ann Weathersby chose Charleston Area

The house is 2 blocks (6-7 minute walk) to the beach and away from heavy traffic and the "off the road beach parking for the public". After a few hours at the beach, you can still enjoy the weather and water with the heated pool and hot tub. The Isle of Palms Rec Center is 2 blocks away, with facilities for tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, cardio room, gym and a municipal size playground for the kids. The floor plan for the house, with open kitchen and family room, seems to bring everyone together in the great room , and from the reviews and our own experience , being together with family and friends is the most important part of the vacation.

What makes this house unique

One of the great things about Isle of Palms, besides the beautiful beach, is the 20 minute drive to Charleston. With its historic district, horse and buggy rides, shops, art and history museums, warm pralines and fabulous restaurants, time spent in Charleston adds a new dimension to a vacation on the beach. Anyone who has visited Charleston will always tell you the food is unbelievable and will quickly recommend their favorite restaurant.

Here are a few national ratings and awards for some of the restaurants in Charleston.

Southern Living - Top 100 Restaurants in the US - Charleston has #14, #23 and #31

Bon Appetit - Charleston was Awarded Best New Restaurant in the US in 2011

Bon Appetit - In 2015 - Charleston has two Restaurants out of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the US

Beautiful, wonderfully appointed home!

  • 5 of 5

This home is wonderful! It truly feels like a home, not a vacation rental. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the beds themselves are very comfortable. The mattresses, bed linens and pillows all made for wonderful nights of sleep. The rocking chairs on the porch were so relaxing while drinking coffee and looking out over the pool. We enjoyed a morning of tennis at the park which is very close to the house. The lovely beach is also a short walk from the house. I cannot recommend this house enough for the best beach vacation EVER.

Immaculate and comfortable vacation rental for your large or extended family or group!

  • 5 of 5

I rarely, if ever, write reviews, but I simply had to express my family's delight from our experience in this vacation home. We went with a group of four young families. Together, the four couples had nine children ages 2 through 10 years old. Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. Many of the children opted to bunk together in the remaining bedroom although there were more sleeping arrangements available in the living room. The smallest children were well-provided for with pack n' plays provided by the property owners (and the closet in the master is even large enough that it could have served as a separate nursery for them too!).

The property owners have thought of everything you might need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay:

- The kitchen is very well equipped. There is none of the cheap odd and end kitchen tools you find in many vacation rentals. We had every conceivable kitchen tool or appliance that we needed for several home-cooked meals throughout the week. I kept thinking I'd like to return over a holiday with my extended family as it would be a great place to cook a large meal and entertain a large group.

- Our bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. There were plenty of extra bath linens, pillows, luxurious blankets, and the bed was much more comfortable than our own new bed at home.

- The living and dining areas were more than adequate for all of the adults and our kids to gather in one location for fun and food.

- The porch overlooking the pool was a favorite gathering spot. We enjoyed watching the kids play in the pool from the rocking chairs above, and eating meals at the outdoor dining table.

- The pool is beautiful and so convenient to have on hand if entertaining children. The park with playground is also very convenient.

- The beach is just a block or from the home, and an easy walk.

Overall, it is an impeccably decorated, clean, and well-kept home that I would not hesitate to choose again and again. We had such a fantastic time and can't recommend it enough for other large families or groups.

Perfect family vacation rental home near the beach

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What an amazing experience this week has been! Thank you to our wonderful hosts for allowing us to rent your beautiful home for a week! We had 6 adults and 2 children here and were easily accommodated with room to spare. Having a bathroom in every bedroom is so smart and well thought out. The elevator helped considerably with load in and out. We all enjoyed the pool and spent many lazy days in the back yard. Blissful! The beds are wonderful. I could have slept for years. Kitchen is huge and extremely well appointed. We made most of our meals here which gave us great memories around the dining table. We could not have asked for a more perfect week and we hope to return. Thank you! This was the perfect family vacation home.

Outstanding Rental!

  • 5 of 5

My three sons, their spouses, children, my husband and I had the great pleasure of spending last week at 2504 Hartnett Blvd. We have been renting various beach houses since my children were little boys, and this house seemed to be everyone's favorite. It was spotless, had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a great layout, easy walk to the beach and a wonderful yard complete with a pool. It was also perfectly located near a park with tennis courts and play equipment. Wyndham, the management company could not have been more helpful. They checked with us immediately after our arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and when we couldn't find a broom, they delivered one within five minutes! The house is wonderful for small children because of all the equipment available that you don't have to make room for in your car. We also loved having access to the bikes and the wagons for carrying stuff to the beach. All in all, a wonderful house that we look forward to renting again next year.

Could We Award 10 Stars? Do We REALLY Have to Leave Tomorrow?

  • 5 of 5

Celebrating our oldest daughter’s second Masters degree, the whole family (11 of us) got together for the week in this perfectly gorgeous, meticulously clean home. This includes Grandpa and Nisi, our three daughters and their husbands, and our 3 grandchildren, ages 7 and 6 years and 4 months. Many of us are “foodies,” so the well-appointed kitchen makes eating in a delight. (Every imaginable dish, pot, pan, cutlery, glassware and serving/cooking tool is at your fingertips.) The open floor plan is ideal for family togetherness but the sumptuous bedrooms with the ultra-comfortable king beds provide the needed privacy. The bathrooms are similarly luxurious. The galleries at both the front and back of the house are furnished with rocking chairs, perfect for putting a baby to sleep. Did I mention how well equipped this house is for babies? Two pack ’n’ plays, a baby monitor, pool toys, puzzles and games for older kids, a wagon to schlep everything to the beach, and DVD players in every room for when you can finally drag the kids out of the pool and make them settle down (good luck with that -- actually, it was difficult getting ANYBODY out of this fabulous pool). Every appliance is state-of-the-art -- the washer, the dryer, the fridge, the oven, the stove, the AC -- and every detail is attended to. There are even nightlights in the bathrooms!!! (I thought I was the only “nightlight grandma.”) One of the best features is the elevator making luggage-schlepping and grocery-unloading a breeze (it’s also very good for lazy grandparents carrying babies). If you ever want to leave all this luxury, there are amazing restaurants minutes away and the beach is just around the corner. These kind people even sent us a gift box full of low country goodies. Renting went without a hitch; Ann, the manager, is a queen among women; and when we couldn’t get one of the TVs to work, a young man was at the doorstep immediately and solved the problem. This is not just a house, it’s a home. It was clearly built by a loving, close-knit family and it has been our absolute pleasure to be here. When we return to Charleston, we’ll stay nowhere else.

Lovely, fully equipped home near the beach with pool!

  • 5 of 5

We had four generations present for our Isle of Palms vacation from age 10 months to age 78. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and fully equipped for all of us including a port-a-crib for the baby. The gorgeous kitchen with a large table was perfect for our big family. The pool was nice and clean and enjoyed by all. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch and reading. The home is a short distance to the beach and the owners thoughtfully provided two wagons to make carrying children and items to the beach easy. There are also some bicycles. Grocery stores are nearby along with some fun restaurants. We definitely plan to return to this same home for another beach vacation as it was so nice and in an ideal location. I have rented other beach homes other places but none have been this nice. The owners were very generous in sharing their home and possessions to make our stay very comfortable and fun! I highly recommend staying here!
