We had a wonderful time at this clean and comfortable condo located directly across the street from the Village. We walked to the gondola and enjoyed the close proximity to the Village shops, restaurants and ski lifts. The arctic entry was a perfect spot for our ski gear and the hot tub/pool was welcoming after a day of skiing. The kitchen is well supplied and washer/dryer came in handy. We hope to return next season.
My family recently stayed at this unit. It was immaculately clean and well set up. When you walk in, there is a little foyer with a bench and a roomy closet for leaving your boots and ski equipment. You then enter another door which leads to the living room, then kitchen, then the bath and bedroom around the corner. We very much enjoyed the gas fireplace and used it to dry our wet clothing items. We also appreciated the washer and dryer which we used on an almost daily basis. The condo had individual thermostats for different areas of the condo, which was a nice touch. The location was incredible. An 8 minute walk to the Whistler gondola and ski school (I timed it), a 3 minute walk to the biggest grocery store in Whistler, a 2 minute walk to the main village and shops and restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the tennis center (which I used since I am not a skier). Free assigned parking spot was also nice, as was the visitor parking. Note for the landlord - the check-in people at Deer Lodge were not particularly friendly or welcoming, although they were professional enough. Also, someone should recaulk the outside of the bathtub (below where the sliding glass doors are) since the caulking is a bit old and cracked and detracts from the overall look of the bathroom which was otherwise clean. Finally, it took us a while to figure out how to use the keyless lock -- perhaps a bit clearer instructions? Overall, we thought the condo was the perfect size for our family of 3, had all the amenities we could want, and was in a great location.
Stayed at this rental recently. Place was clean and a comfortable. The unit was very hot in this blazing weather...I'm sure all the rooms without a/c were just as bad. We requested fans and they were brought the next day, making the remaining stay with kids more comfortable. We were disappointed with the pool which was very small and didn't smell clean. Maybe it was the washrooms around the pool or the pool itself. Other than that, rental was fair.
