Casa Cayo is located 3 blocks off Duval Street, a short walk to the heart of Old Town Key West’s shopping, dining, entertainment, and tourism activities. It’s also an easy walk or bike ride to the best beaches and sunset views at Ft. Zach Taylor State Park. This Caribbean-style 2-story home is in quaint Bahama Village, one of Key West’s most culturally diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. You'll immediately get the unmistakable feeling that you have been magically transported to a Caribbean island as the exotic aromas and music envelop your senses. Shoppers will enjoy combing through the flea market, browsing the locals’ kiosks, and exploring the different shops that provide an eclectic mix of souvenirs, straw hats, Caribbean art, T-shirts, beads, sea sponges and sharks’ teeth.
No visit to this Key West community would be complete without sampling its own special cuisine. Fresh and delicious, the island influence is obvious. Plantains and coconut, beans and rice, seafood and pork, jerk and curries, the blend of spices and ingredients are mouth-watering and aromatic. Just a block away, a local Cuban market is convenient for groceries and a grill serving hot specialty sandwiches, while a gourmet food store & deli is just 2 blocks in the other direction. This neighborhood is also home to some of Key West’s best and most unique restaurants, including Blue Heaven, Santiago’s Bodega, Firefly, La Creperie, Mam’s kosher deli, Oscar’s Caribbean buffet, The Six-Toed Cat, and more.

Wow! What a beautiful home! We and all who visited had a great time at casa cayo. The home itself is decorated beautifully. Also it had everything you needed. From pots and pans to beach towels. The home had great bedding and towels and a convenient laundry room. One of the things we especially loved was the ten minuite bike ride to either the southern most or fort zack beaches. We enjoyed every single restaraunt on "the quiet end" of duval st. Including - Santiago's, blue heaven, firefly, la te da, ambrosia, etc. just to name a few! The local artwork in this home is so cool. We feel so lucky to have enjoyed this beautiful home in key west.
