Treated Like a Queen

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at many VRBOs and this home in Asheville is my all time favorite because I felt like I was at home, but was treated like a queen. As soon as I drove up on its quiet street, I felt like I had gone back in time to when neighbors sat on each other's porch and had a leisure visit sipping their lemonade or glass of wine.

The owners, Frank and Jane, are extremely nice and helpful. Their restored home is very tastefully decorated, but not overdone andhas beautiful wooden floors. A lot of attention has been given to the little details that makes a guest feel very special. The kitchen has every utensil and appliance you need to cook a gourmet dinner or to make a quick smoothie in the morning. The bedding is lush with with top quality sheets and pillows. The master bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub and a wonderful shower with travertine shower walls. Extra provided toothbrushes, essential oils, etc. give the special touch. Upstairs in the sitting room is a large flat screen TV, which I was able to enjoy a little bit since I was out hiking almost every day in the gorgeous Smokey Mountains. I loved playing the piano that was in the home as well.

The front porch was my favorite place because it was so peaceful and pretty. I often ate my meals on the porch and enjoyed visiting with the neighbors.

The home is in the perfect location to walk downtown or hop on the highway quickly.

The manager, Rebecca, is super sweet, communicated quickly, and made sure I had everything I needed. I would not stay anywhere else in Asheville and will come back to this piece of heaven.

Our second stay here, was as perfect as our first!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property in 2015, and had a wonderful experience. Upon planning a return trip to Asheville, it was our good fortune to learn that this very lovely house was available. Once again, it was Rebecca's (the caretaker) warmth and helpfulness that immediately set the tone for what tuned out to be another great stay. This home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. A spacious, fully equipped kitchen is an added bonus, plus a simply perfect porch. The neighborhood is lush, quiet and walk-able to many places to eat or shop. Our time spent in this home, and enjoying all that it offers its lucky guests, was the highlight of our time in Asheville.

Great House in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

A great house in a great location! You can tell the owners take great pride in maintaining this little gem of a house. Everything is neat, orderly and well maintained.

The owners have thought of every convenience - from the clear directions on how to operate the TV, roku, sound and cable systems to the extra hooks on bedroom doors to the non-skid stain finish on the stairs up to the family room.

The kitchen is stocked with every pot, pan & gadget you might need...but really who wants to cook when there are so many amazing restaurants just a short walk away! The bathrooms are thoughtfully organized and well stocked with linens. Beds and pillows are extra comfy.

A Perfect Summer Get away!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent three wonderful months at this lovely home. The owners have provisioned the home so well and have made every effort to make sure that guests are comfortable and have whatever they need for a perfect stay. The home is in the historic area of Montford, only a short walk to the center of town. We loved sitting on the cozy front porch every afternoon watching the world go by, seeing many dogs and listening to the Basilica bells chime. The house has so many interesting artifacts and photos of many trips they have taken. Every thought had been considered with all the nice china, extensive selection of pots/pans/serving dishes. It would be a grand place to have a family Christmas or other holiday! The neighbors were nice and helpful as was our wonderful "landlady" who saw to our every need. I would highly recommend this property and, of course, Asheville for a memorable vacation!

The Perfect Home Away From Home!!

  • 5 of 5

This is my second long term (month +) stay at this awesome property. I can't say enough good things. The neighborhood is warm and friendly -- park for dog walks right around the corner. Beautiful, eclectic art feels the house and makes it warm and inviting. We have loved coming here --- we love walking into town --- and until we find a permanent Asheville address, we will be staying here again!

Asheville vacation

  • 5 of 5

A beautifully renovated home in the heart of the historic district. The house was lovely with a very cozy feel. And as a bonus we could bring our pet along. Perfect location to explore Asheville and the surrounding areas. The Local restaurant Chiesa was a real find for the farm to table ingredients and wonderfully fresh pasta.
