Condo, 1 Bedroom + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-3)
We love our cozy, snug condo below the Wasatch Mountains. We have friends and family in the area and visit whenever possible. We are recently retired teachers-mathematics and art-and love the great out of doors. We have hiked all over the West, Canada, and Europe and know well some excellent red rock refuges and slot canyons around Capitol Reef. We ski in the winter, love to travel, fish, and hike in the summer. Even though the bones are getting older, we still backpack and don’t mind sleeping on the ground occasionally. The Mr. in the duo is an excellent musician who loves Django Reinhardt, Dan Hicks, and lots of other eclectic artists; he performs with his band under the stage name, Johnny Star. The Mrs. is into art of every sort but loves to putter around in clay and printmaking.

Why Owner chose Cottonwood Heights
Our comfy SLC space allows us to visit family while not wearing out our welcome. Because it is so close to lots of shopping, some pretty good restaurants, and a variety of “city” stuff, we can indulge ourselves in people, places, and things, yet still find close by that quiet spot in the wild to marvel at Mother Nature’s endless skill at beauty and calm.
What makes this Condo unique
This property is just a few minutes off the I-215 heading east towards the mountains. The grounds are filled with beautiful, mature trees and peaceful landscaping. Many restaurants and shopping choices are just across the street or a few blocks away.

A Home away from Home
We cannot say enough about this apartment. The proximity to Alta/Snowbird (free parking) and Solitude/Brighton ($20 parking) under 30 min door to slope is perfect. Or catch the bus that leaves across the street. The place is lovingly decorated.
The owner also made some great restaurant recommendations, one of which we would like to highlight: Hoppers Brew Pub - a great way to make local friends. We stopped there a couple of times after skiing. Aps are 50% from 4-6 and sitting at the bar is where you get the inside scoop on great restaurants. To add to the owner's list: Tiburon restaurant - we had their signature dish/Elk medallion and the seafood special. Sicilia Mia/Cottonwood Heights get the fettuccini made at table side in the Parmesan wheel. OMG!!!! As you can tell, we have nothing but great things to say and can highly recommend this apartment for either a ski or hiking vacation. Downtown is about a 20 min Uber ride or you can take the city tram.
It was perfect for us! Condo was clean and owners were always available. Very nice neighborhood with stores and restaurants close by. Very convenient.
Spacious pretty condo close to mountains
Nicely appointed furnishings, immaculate, spacious, very comfortable, convenient to mountains, friendly & communicative owner, indoor parking a plus in winter, good shower. Would happily stay again.
After having some bad Airbnb experiences we were delighted as we walked in Chris’ apartment. It is a very clean, quiet and cozy place and well equipped. It really has EVERYTHING you need (and more). We can highly recommend it. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Grocery stores are just around the corner. Downtown SLC is a 15mins drive, very uncomplicated. The second bathroom and the parking lot are a big plus. Chris was very friendly and helpful and responded to our questions shortly. The information and instructions that Chris provides make it very easy to arrange oneself in the apartment. 5 stars!!!
Well-appointed, had every thing we needed. Easy to access. Parking space was a little tight but that's a function of the condo complex structure, not the condo. It really is a nice space with excellent amenities, a westward/northwestward facing porch great for catching sunset light, and multiple bathrooms as well as a gas stove. Liaison was responsive, willing, and helpful - all of which were appreciated. WiFi was solid and reliable. Great location for accessing a lot of places in Cottonwood Hts/farther south in to Sandy as well as 215. Great for couples and hope to return in the future!
