My husband and I utilize our amazing Buca Vista when friends and family are in town visiting.
Eileen Peterson purchased this house in 2007
We love Buena Vista area and all it has to offer outdoors. We are avid rafters, skiers and snowmobilers. This property is so close to all things outdoors and still close to town. Perfect for visitors.
This unique basement entrance property is fun and gorgeous. Great views and so much fun to unwind after a day playing outdoors is through the fun games indoors.
Our stay was perfect. The home is spotless, and very spacious. We loved all being on the same level, and all the games you can play were great. The patio area is awesome. Very nice area, and great views.
Layout of the house is perfect for 3 couples, allows privacy when wanted and the common area is perfect for everyone to gather and enjoy each others company and interact. We would book this home again!
This rental was absolutely perfect! My husband, sister-in-law and I stayed for seven nights. We were in town for an organized jeep event and were looking for a nice comfortable place to go relax after a long day out on the trails. We loved going outside on the deck in the evenings to grill and enjoy the beautiful view. The house is clean and there is so much to entertain you that you almost don't want to leave. We were actually very lucky to be able to meet the owners of this great property and we thoroughly enjoyed that. They are very knowledgeable about the area and we felt like we had our own personal travel guide with all the information and stories that we received. They go out of their way to accommodate you and ensure that you enjoy your stay. We hope to be able to return to the area in the next few years and will definitely stay at Buca Vista again!
We were a group of 7 on a guys trip and this place was amazing. It was very clean and has everything you get from a hotel plus more. The balcony setup and the views alone captured our interest on this place, but the extra entertainment made it over the top (pool table, hockey table, ping-pong, darts, etc.). For people who can't live without technology, this place has a flat screen tv with direct tv, dvd player, and a sound system that has speakers on the balcony as well. Most importantly the accommodations include WiFi, we we're able to use our laptops to connect to the TV through HDMI cable and use Netflix, Hulu, Xfinity, Youtube, etc.. This place is the perfect getaway from the city scene, but still having the option to stay connected. Just a few suggestions to make this place more awesome: please add an oven so people can cook some pizza; a washer and dryer would help for people staying longer; and a fire pit for people who like a camping style experience.
A great place, within driving distance of everything that we wanted to do, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, ziplining, bike trails, hot springs and town for shopping. The pool table and ping-pong table were added bonuses. They also had a selection of board games, and outside games. We could not get the TV to work...but could have just been us...and we did not need TV anyway, the DVD player did work and they had some movies if you were interested. There are steps, but my Dad is 82 and he managed them. The patio was wonderful. The white carpet was scary but we were able to spend a week there and not mess it up! We would rent this one again.
We were pleasantly surprised! The view of Mt. Princeton from the beautiful balcony was amazing. The house was spacious, clean, and nice. the kitchen was well stocked with cooking/serving utensils, cups, glasses, coffee pot, mixer, blender, dishes, spices, pots, pans, hand and dish towels, and paper towels, etc.
The bathrooms were stocked with extra large plush towels, toilet paper, small bottles (bigger than trial size) of name brand shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion. Hair dryer in each bathroom.
We appreciated the games (pool, foosball table, ping pong, table games). It really was enjoyable for our 83 year old father - it gave him something else to do.
Centrally located about 30 miles from a bigger city.
Our weather was perfect - sunny days and cool evenings.
A handrail is much needed coming down from the rock driveway. Multiple times I hit a rock and about slid down.
We were unable to get the TV working - too many remotes and no clear instructions. My daughter did figure out how to work the DVD player - so we did watch some movies.
Not a deal breaker, we were on vacation to enjoy each others company not watch a lot of TV. Our father was bothered by it not working since he enjoys watching the news and weather, but the others didn't mind.
Only the master bath had a place to hang clothes. with the house able to sleep 8 ppl - it was important to have more places to hang clothes.
The yellow room - was very bright even with the white curtains closed - I had hoped to sleep in a bit more. Sunrise was very early. We did have the best view of Mt Princeton in the house - so I can't complain too much about the brightness and lack of sleep.
Wifi was great. Made surfing internet looking for our planned activities very easy.
The floorboards were heated or cooled. which was nice for some being cold natured, however my daughter and myself were very hot - we ended up sleeping with window open and purchasing a fan.
You might add to your Welcome Book - how to separate recycling and where the center is. our can became quite full a few days into our vacation - we are huge recyclers - Eileen was very helpful when I called to let her know. She informed us where to drop it off at.
If in the area we will go back.
We will recommend to all our friends and family.
