Quiet on the weekdays and party central on the weekends. The management of this place is amazing and it was just what we were looking for. Perfect beach front getaway.
Great place to stay, management was friendly, We did have a few issues the first couple of nights. The AC in our room was making a horrible noise, it sounded like a lawnmower so we didn't sleep well the first 2 nights. Then there was a leak coming from the upstairs bathroom. However, we contacted the owner and management and they made arragements to move us to a different floor asap and the rest of our stay was awesome!
The location is great The management was extremely friendly and helped when we had a problem. The hotel was also clean.
A few problems...... If you fly in a night they do not accommodate you. Every other place I have stayed at in Rincon would leave a key since the flights from NJ arrive at 2am. They said they would let us in at 8am but we ended up having to wait until 10am. Sleeping in the car after a late night trip to the casino to kill some time. The hot water does not work unless you trickle it and then thats barely warm. The cable worked 50 percent of the time which I know you are on vacation however after the bars closed I wanted to finish watching the football game and couldn't. Also during the afternoon thunderstorms its nice to flip the tv on. They should also place a foot pan outside so you can rinse your feet to help keep some of the sand out. Great price and great location so its a trade off.
Rincon is a small rural town on Puerto Rico's west coast. It is known for its great surfing in the winter months and for its beautiful beaches, diving, snorkeling and whale watching throughout the year.
Beside surfing and whale watching, Rincon offers many other activities such as horseback riding on the beach, parasailing, sailing lessons, yoga and healthy living activities and is one of the premier destination wedding locations in all of the Caribbean. There are also gift shops, art galleries, coffee shops and beachfront dining.
Surfing- Rincon is known as the capital of Caribbean surfing and from November to April, waves can usually be found at one of its famous beaches.
Sailing- There are a number of local businesses that offer sailing excursions, sunset cruises and even classes to learn how to sail.
Snorkeling- Tres Palmas Marine Reserve is the only marine reserve on Puerto Rico and has amazing, easily accessible snorkeling with elk-horn coral and tropical fish just steps into the water.
Diving- Nearby Desecheo Island is a diver's dream and local dive shop Taino Divers has daily trips there for either beginners and more experienced divers.
Fishing- Deep-sea fishing is popular in Rincon, with many local outfits that will take you to Dorado, Billfish and Yellow Tail catches.
Whale Watching- From January to March Rincon is a popular whale watching area. Whales come through the Mona Pasage and the Rincon lighthouse is a great place to watch.
Horseback Riding- Pintos R Us offer guided beach horseback rides, beautiful sunset tours through Rincon's most amazing beaches.
You are uniquely nestled among the most popular and famous Rincon beaches:
Sandy Beach: This is the main beach of Puntas. Swimming is good most of the year - unless the surf is especially high! Sandy Beach is true to it's name with a soft, sandy bottom, great for waders, swimmers and beginning surfers.
River Mouth: The last of Puntas' beaches is located to the right of the public parking lot at Antonio's Beach. There are tidal pools here - so the swimming is good all year and its a good choice for children. There is also great surfing here during the surf season.
Antonio's Beach: As you walk to the right on Sandy Beach it turns into Antonio's Beach just after the parking lots near Casa Isleña. Named after the owner of the land that borders the beach, this section is much quieter than Sandy Beach and extends all the way over to the area near the parking lot. Antonio's Beach to the 'River Mouth' parking lot is a favorite place for beachcombing for 'sea glass'.
Pools Beach: One prettiest little cove in Rincón, it's great for surfing too and also has like a small natural pond good for small children. Even if the waves are large the shore break is mostly minimal so the kids can enjoy the water as well.
