About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom in Historic District of Denver. License 2016-BFN-0008427

This beautifully restored, three-bed, two-bath Victorian home is located in Denver's historic Whittier neighborhood. This is the actual place where William F Cody, "Buffalo Bill" , spent his last days and the place of his death. The former residence of his sister, this house is an iconic Denver historic landmark.

Now for the first time open for public and renters.

This home has been restored to its Victorian glory, as true to its origin as possible, using mostly original material from the time period. The house's interior is all beautiful wood and architectural details restored to its original dark wood finish. Kitchen and bathrooms meet modern standards.

The two-story Victorian home has a spacious backyard and is set on a quiet, tree-lined street. It’s just two blocks from the light rail station on the D line that runs through downtown Denver with stops along the 16th Street pedestrian mall, the Convention Center, the University of Colorado campus and, further south, the University of Denver campus. It’s a short walk to City Park, the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science as well as plenty of options for nightlife and dining in the River North Art District. For skiers and others, I-70 is just a few minutes away, leading up to the mountains.

This was a lovely house- perfect for our family. Everything you need is on the premises & we loved staying there. The patio was perfect for our grandbabies to play on. The bathroom was luxurious & the bedrooms were lovely. It was great family space. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Perfect Weekend Rental

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect spot for our group trip. We came to Denver for Labor Day weekend getaway. The location was good, not right downtown, but a very close drive to cute neighborhoods and the downtown scene. The house is well equipped, in good condition, and the hosts were very easy to work with. We would highly recommend for groups or families visiting Denver.

Awesome, highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I even begin...four of us stayed here for a week in May/June. We were there for a work conference and were a bit worried about being so far from the convention centre. But the train is like two blocks away and a super safe walk.

Like the others said, the pictures are 100% accurate, this place is AMAZING. It's got an awesome mix of ol'school yet completely renovated and comfortable. The living spaces downstairs are fantastic and we spent many evening hours with wine just chilling out. The TV is fully loaded with Netflix and regular channels. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need - seriously, blenders, slow name it.

The upstairs is creeky like an old house usually is so if you stay awake later than the rest of your group, walk carefully! The rooms are a great size and each has either a closet or dresser (or both). The bathroom is massive and there is both washer and dryer (which we totally used).

I think the only downside the entire week was the Air Conditioning. We had to turn it on around day 4 and found that it didn't really go upstairs so there were a few hot nights. But it wasn't painful enough to complain about. I'm sure the host would have come right over, she was super helpful leading up to our arrival.

Anyway, this place is highly recommended. It made us feel right at home in Denver!

Owner's Response: Hi Dana, Thank you so much for your great review of our home! We are so happy you enjoyed our home and all the amenities it is has to offer. We have now had the AC technician fine tune the system so it is cooler upstairs. We hope to see you again on your next visit to Denver! Thanks again for a wonderful review!

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in this house. It was easy to access, the owners were very organized and assisted well in the booking process, the house was perfectly clean. It is just as the photos depict. While there isn't much in walking distance as far as bars or restaurants, we took the nearby D Line train nearly everywhere without any hiccups. We would definitely stay again, thanks for the hospitality!
