A HIDDEN GEM!

  • 5 of 5

We can’t say enough about this home. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but when you get inside the home welcomes you. A fully equipped kitchen invites you in to discover the many little touches Donna has added to its charm. We loved the special area she had as a feeding station for our dog and our dog loved the long walks in the woods. The living room beckons with more hidden treasures including a stone raccoon which Donna painted. We only used the downstairs as it was just the 3 of us ( 2 seniors and our pup) but that was enough. For a larger family there are 2 more bedrooms & a ½ bath upstairs. This is not listed as handicapped accessible but if you can climb one small step from the yard into the living room you will be fine. (The kitchen entry where the lock box is does have a couple of steps.) Feisty and I enjoyed the walk to the falls especially the winding pathway through the trees. We all enjoyed the closeness to Mt. Airy,

Mt. Pocono, Tannersville and many other areas as well as fishing in the local river or traveling to nearby Tobyhanna park. We fount Donna to be very easy to work with and her directions were great. We will definitely be back. Thank you Donna for the use of your home!!

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first house rental on homeaway and I have to say it was a great choice! I was so happy on the location of the house because it seriously is minutes away from everything! The house was very clean and roomy. There was eight of us and we fit comfortably. We are last minute people and we decided Friday morning that we wanted to rent a house for the weekend and Donna was amazing! She answered immediately and handle everything in minutes, she was extremely nice. Next time we pick a weekend to come to pa, I would definitely contact Donna.

Cute, private cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonder weekend at Thristle Dew! The house was perfect for our needs and Donna allowed us to bring our dogs, which was awesome! The outdoor space is perfect for grilling and hanging out by the fire pit. The private community has a great little beach, hiking trails along a beautiful river, which you can also fish....all within walking distance from the house. Perfect weekend getaway. We are already planning our return.

This Property is not as worth the money..

  • 1 of 5

This property has over dumped with stuff everywhere in the house. It was not at all organized..

This property was over priced for a offseason stay...

The water in taps is very very slow..

As soon as you enter home it gives a bad smell.. please be sure to light all the candles else your stay will be really pathetic...

Owner's Response: Hi Rekha, I'm sorry that you seem to have had a bad experience. This vacation home has been in our family for nearly 60 years. I took possession of it in 2009 and I have made a lot of renovations from the money from my rentals. Had you contacted me during your stay, I could have taken care of any problem immediately. I have a house keeper who takes great pride in keeping our home clean and welcoming. We have had several renters that have returned 3 and 4 times because they enjoyed there stay.I have never received a bad review from anyone who has stayed there, so I'd really like to know if you feel that our home was misrepresented in some way or how I could improve it for future guests. I'm glad all of my previous guests have not shared your opinion, all of my reviews have been outstanding until yours.I'm truly sorry that you were disappointed. Donna

Away from it all

When owner said you only have to bring your own food and drink she was right. We loved

being in the woods. The water falls on the property was the icing on the cake.
