My husband and I purchased the Inn in 2012. We chose to live and work in the old inn and rent out the garden level for guests to enjoy our home and its surroundings. We love living here in the center of Savannah's historic district with its wonderful homes and architecture. We love that we do not need a car to explore our wonderful city.

You'll know as soon as you arrive, this address is perfect - you are two doors down to Davenport House museum, a block to the Owens Thomas museum, and literally next door to 17Hundred90 Tavern and Restaurant. If you are looking to park and walk your entire vacation, this is the home for you.
The location is quiet yet close to the action! Best of both worlds.
Strolling downtown's tree-lined streets & squares with your pet, having a drink at 17Hundred90 next door, breakfast at J. Christophers' (outdoor seating, dogs allowed), lunch down York Lane at Wall's BBQ, dinner at B. Mathews (outdoor seating, dogs allowed). All within easy walking distance. If you look at the location map you will see listed a number of places of interest....some good, some not worth your trouble.
Some friends and I were in town for the scad baseball parent weekend at the same time 23,000 marathon runners were also in town. That actually turned out to be a good thing as, with the hotels completely booked, I came across the Savannah Sea Maiden. It was perfect in every way - comfort, location, cleanliness, roominess. I hope to stay here every time I'm in Savannah now. Thanks, Laurie, for creating such a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Savannah!
I was so impressed with the garden apartment I did not want to leave. You can’t beat the location overlooking Columbia Square. Me and my husband enjoyed our stay for five days and would have extended another five if our schedule allowed. It is within walking distance to all the great shops, restaurants and historical museums. The court yard was absolutely lovely, my two greyhounds would lounge and relax out there all afternoon.It was so romantic we would get take out and eat out in the picnic table surrounded by the lovely gardens and have our coffee in the mornings. We had wonderful time and the owners were extremely accommodating. I am planning on going back for my birthday celebration for at least a week.
This was a beautiful decorated K-9 Friendly apartment that had all the amenties that you would need. We were so pleased with the facilities and location within walking distant to the river front, shops, restaurants and attractions. It was very quite at night and the square across the street is very convenient for a night walk with the dogs. We did have a slight problem with the TV and we called owner, it was taken care of within 5 mins, what great service. We recommend this apartment to anybody that wants a great Savannah getaway.
Perfect location for a girls getaway. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't get back in it until we left. The location to everything in the historic district was perfect. The unit is located on the ground floor with a gated courtyard offering additional security. The owner lives upstairs so I'd you have questions or concerns they're very accessible. The layout is a little unusual but the space was more than adequate and very well kept. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of pillow topper or mattress pad to the beds because they were very firm.
My husband and I shared this 2 bedroom apartment with my parents for 4 nights in September. We were very happy with the unit and would definitely recommend staying here. First and foremost, the apartment is spotless and well maintained. Air conditioning and wifi are reliable. The location is perfect...within 5 min walking of River Street, City Market, etc. The trolley stops about 20 steps from the apartment if you are interested in a sightseeing tour. Nightlife is close if desired, but the apartment is very quiet with its own outdoor space to enjoy. Little "extras" are appreciated (like already-stocked coffee, salt, pepper, laundry detergent, etc.) Our hosts were available and full of information, but left us plenty of privacy. Check-in and check-out were seamless. The 17hundred90 restaurant and pub next door is excellent and convenient! Highly recommended.
The property was exactly like it was portrayed. The gated courtyard that surrounds the apartment gives a real sense of security. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and spices and all of the utensils to make a weekend or week stay very comfortable. We definitely will go back in the future.
We loved the house and the area. It was so cool to sit on the patio at night and hear carriages going by. We had everything we needed and wanted. Right in the heart of the historic district. We loved having on-site parking. There were lots of places within walking distance. I felt like if there was anything we needed we could have called the owner and she would have taken care of it. We would definitely stay there again.
The Columbia Square Inn faces Columbia Square in the premiere beautiful & quiet Landmark Historic District. We are in the middle of the district with Historic Savannah Foundation on one side and the Davenport House museum on the other.

We are next door to the 1790 Restaurant and Tavern and only a few blocks from most of Savannah's famous eateries. Everything is within walking distance..too tired from a day of exploring, take one of our always available and reasonable pedi-cabs.
