Situated on 40 wooded acres and built on one level in 2009, our home features a large eat-in kitchen with a dining room table that seats up to 10 people, and a comfortable living room for watching TV or a movie. We offer free wi-fi.
There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large, brightly lit quilting/scrapbooking/crafting/recreation/gathering room. One shower is wheelchair accessible.
One bedroom has five extra long twin beds, one has two twin beds, and one bedroom has a single extra long twin bed. Six of the twin beds can be converted into three king beds upon request. There is also a pack-and-play available for infants.
The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless appliances, or cook on the outdoor gas grill. A laundry room is available with a washer and dryer; sheets and towels are provided.
You will love the ability to park your car or motorcycles in the attached garage. Take a stroll along the short hiking trails on the property, or use the trails for snowshoeing in the winter. Watch the deer and wildlife out your window as you relax inside a house enveloped with a beautiful, unique hardwood interior while enjoying the comfort of in-floor geothermal heat and air conditioning.
Gateway to a variety of recreational options in Chisago Lakes, Taylors Falls, and the St Croix River valley, the house is a 15 minute drive from Wild River State park or the MN and WI interstate parks where you can go rock climbing or hike along easily accessible trails. See the glacial potholes or take-in beautiful scenic vistas overlooking the Dalles on the St. Croix River. Kayaking and canoeing on the St. Croix River are also popular.
Other recreational opportunities in the area include: River boat tours down the St. Croix River, the Wild Mountain and Trollhaugen ski areas, Wild River snowmobile trails, Wild Mountain water and alpine slides and go-karts, the Franconia sculpture park, and numerous antique and pottery shops. You might also want to visit four outstanding local wineries, which are within a 30-minute drive (or less) from the house.
