Stunning Central Penthouse overlooking the Albufeira Marina Southview. 120 m2 Terraces. Curved enveloping Glass Facade. 15 minute walk to town center and beach along boat house and fishermen's wharf. 7 minute walks each to 2 great restaurants. Pool. The enormous terrace marina-view is just pre-destined for romantic meals and serious relaxation. The equally large back terrace has a great view towards the green hills.

Easy access to old town and beach through a short and very scenic walk; fishermen's wharf at 2 minutes, several good restaurants at short walking distance; cafes below apartments at Marina boardwalk. Albufeira is the contact point between the Lisbon highway and the Algarve. It is also the first stop on the Algarve of the Lisbon trains.

Albufeira is spotlessly clean, the people are extraordinary friendly, calm, helpful and tourism-savvy. The town is the most beautiful of the region, due to the hilly site, organically developed vernacular architecture and great beaches. You also got an elevator to get down to the wind protected beach.

Walking will take you to the best places. There are busses, TukTuk services, Taxis, etc...

In town there are great venues for shows and sports, entertainment strips, public olympic level pools. All conveniences, malls, shops of all kinds are either in-town or within a 20 minute drive.

About Owner/ Property Manager

I am free-lance photographer and I have been living in Dubai for 8 years. My husband and I have lived in many countries. I was born in Germany and my husband in Finland. We both grew up in Brazil and did our university studies in the USA. After our studies we lived in the USA, France, Germany, Hong Kong, etc... We chose Portugal to live since we speak the language fluently and also because the Portuguese people are really fantastic. During our occasional absences, our designated caretaker will welcome our guests: The very friendly and hospitality-experienced Veronika Seres.

Why Owner/ Property Manager chose Albufeira

When we arrived in the Algarve looking for a place to buy we fell in love with the view from this apartment. From the terrace and the main rooms the view is of the sailing boats moored in the marina. Just by turning one’s head to the left, can the open ocean appears in its turquoise glory.

We just fell in love with the place.

What makes this apartment unique

As mentioned, the apartment has the most fantastic view of the marina and the sea. The marina is accessed by simply walking down the building’s stairs. There are good restaurants and bars, coffee places just downstairs, along the boardwalk. A very good and cheap fish restaurant is just an 8-minute walk away. Our favorite weekend meal is the Sunday Roast in the Castelo do Mar restaurant, another short 5-minute walk away.

Terrific penthouse apartment at Albufeira Marina

We were really delighted with Corinne's modern penthouse apartment in one of the uniquely architectured blocks along the Albufeira Marina. To say it is spacious would not be doing justice to it - it is humungous! In particular, as it is a penthouse, the outdoor area covers the full footprint of the block itself and so there's so much space front and back that one could get lost without a map back! The views over the Marina are superb, of course. The living/kitchen area is more than adequate for two people and would be okay for 4. The bedrooms are a reasonable size and there are two bathrooms, both fully equipped. Veronika manages the apartment on site and couldn't be more helpful. She met us at the apartment on the first night (after a day of unprecedented rain that washed away much of Albufeira's old town) and gave us our orientation briefing. Then she sorted out a minor circuit breaker problem without fuss and was always on hand to answer questions or be generally helpful. There are a few restaurants/cafes/bars along the Marina and many more to open as the area is still relatively new. Particularly nice is Sharkys Bar, run by an energetic and friendly young English gentleman. He has sports and music on TV and serves some small snacks during the day. Beer on tap is Super Bock and Carlsberg. It was a home from home for us, even when the weather wasn't behaving itself. For eating, our restaurant of choice was A Tasca, a nice Portuguese restaurant on the Marina also. Very friendly and value service, great food (fish of course a speciality) with an overall authentic feel to the place. We didn't have a car on this holiday, but the apartment has secure parking available in the basement. The local Giro bus (Vermelha 1) serves this part of the Albufeira suburbs - it will bring you into Albufeira old town on its way to the Bus Station. All Giro buses start/finish at the Station and appear to be timed to allow easy connections from one to the other. The City Sightseeing Bus (Hop on Hop off) serves the apartment almost directly outside. If you request it, Corinne will arrange for Taxi pickup for her guests from Faro airport with Yellow Fish Taxi and for a round trip price of €60 you can't ask for a better service, efficient, fast and reliable. Overall, a fantastic apartment if you want space, quiet, good transport links and a modest selection of eating/drinking establishments close by.

Amazing location with great facililities

We rented the penthouse for 10 days and as it was our 44th wedding anniversary we looked for somewhere very special - we certainly found it ! The penthouse is on the 4th (top) floor of the middle of one of a series of small blocks of apartments. It has fantastic views from its huge terraces which directly overlook Albufeira marina, the local area and the sea. Included with the penthouse is access to a large on-site open air swimming pool and a secure parking space in the basement garage.

The apartment itself is very modern and filled with light from the large picture windows. It has a spacious lounge and dining room with a big kitchen that contains every amenity. The whole penthouse was spotlessly clean and it - and the block - was very well maintained.

Excellent apartment and local facilities

The apartment is high spec and very spacious... you could not really ask for anything more. The outlook over the marina is great and having so much patio space means you can find shade when you need to on a hot day. There is a large swimming pool nearby. The apartment has multiple air con units.

At the marina you can find multiple bars & restaurants as well as many boat trips and go-karting. My teenage kids really enjoyed the on site facilities. Veronika provided a really good service from the moment she met us on arrival and consistently sharing good local information.

Fantastic Property

The owner Corrine kept us fully informed at all stages of the booking process , the description of the apartment was excellent , plenty room in the open layout of the apartment and the massive terraces to the back and front. Veronika met arranged our transfers which were great value for money at 60 Euro return , she also looked after us throughout the whole stay giving great advice on where to visit and eat out, she is a real credit to the running of the apartment. Intend to visit again in the not to distant future

Stunning Apartment in beautiful surroundings.

We were kept fully informed throughout the booking process by the owner Corrinne , prior to our stay we were contacted by Veronika who booked our transfers with a local company who were very punctual at pick up and on our return 60 Euro return for a family of four al brilliant value. On arrival Veronika was there to meet us showed us round the apartment and recommended things to do and places to eat. Throughout the whole stay she was always available if required only a text away at all times. Overall this apartment is stunning the terrace is massive at both the front and back of the building. All you need for a relaxing holiday and good value for money eating out family of four two courses around 80 Euro with drinks. Veronika made our stay truly enjoyable and we hope to return in the near future.
