A wonderful trip

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this house. It is spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable, cozy and has everything you could need while away from home. The location is fabulous, footsteps away from the town center of Government camp. We will definitely look forward to coming back :-)

Perfect for families!

  • 4 of 5

We loved the condo and the property. It was close to timberline and the hot tub and heated pool was perfect after a day of skiing. My five year old was delighted when he found toys and Ninja Turtle DVDs. Perfect for children!

Convenient and Very Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this wonderful condo for a week when the kids were participating in ski camps on Mt. Hood. Our kids stayed with us for the week and the condo was very convenient for getting to Timberline Lodge each morning and visiting their ski camps in the evenings for video review. It was very nice to be an easy walk into Government Camp for a meal or two, stop in at the Govy Store, and visit the gear shops.

This condo was very spacious and comfortable for us all. The kids loved the pool and hot tubs, the bunk beds, and being able to hang out and relax with movies and games at the condo. We cooked all of our meals but one (went to the Cascade Dining Room at Timberline Lodge for our final night!) and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed.

I really appreciated the keyless entry on the front door - no door key to keep track of!

Overall, a very clean, comfortable, and convenient home away from home! Thank you!

This home is wonderfully appointed and perfect for families as the owners describe. They were easy to work with and quick to respond. The condo's location near the pool was perfect, our kids (11, 9, and 7) loved swimming while it was snowing! The leisure pool in the woods did get crowded after dinner until closing, so if you have kids, hit it up earlier rather than later for a more family friendly atmosphere.

The kids also loved all the toys, the garage playroom, and most of all the sleds and snowball makers. I loved the well appointed kitchen, had everything I needed and more! The condo was very clean and nicely decorated.

Regarding the resort and having been in summer before, I was disappointed that the wonderful walking trails around the property were not maintained in winter. Plowing made them inaccessible, at least from the Chalet side, not sure about Grand Lodges side. But thankful for the plowing so we could get our car out, so I will just have to come back in summer!

Wonderful vacation, wish we could have stayed a few more days!

Owner's Response: Hi Amy, Thank you! So happy you enjoyed our place! When the snow is deep and newly fallen, you definitely need snow shoes to get around the lake. We do have a couple sets for use in our garage and you can also rent them up in Govt. Camp. For easiest access to the trail, head down by the forest soaking pool. Hope you can come back soon!

Perfect for young children

  • 5 of 5

The condo was very organized, clean, and well-maintained. Tons of activities for children (toys, books, games). Our 5 and 2 year old loved the train track, pool toys, and bunk beds. Steps away from the pool and a very short walking distance to the main street of town. We enjoyed the schnitzel and Pilsner Urquell at the Glacier Haus nearby.
