About Veronika and John Ackerman

Our family lived in this home for many years and no expense was spared when we totally renovated the home in 2009 and 2010. Often called the "Treehouse" because of the large trees that surround the house.

Veronika and John Ackerman purchased this house in 2009

Why Veronika and John Ackerman chose Beltzville Lake

We chose this house because of it's close proximity to so many activities and we love to take walks and swim at Beltzville Lake. There is complete privacy yet close to many amenities.

What makes this house unique

Our home is unique because it has a resort feel with the large inground heated pool, very unique construction, and priceless views from the large wraparound deck. This isn't your typical rental house!

Great home, great vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year in a row staying at this home. Our family had a great time once again. House is very large, plenty of room for the family to spread out, very clean. The deck and pool are magnificent. The owners are terrific, very responsive and get back to you very quickly if you have any questions. Looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have hoped for a better house or better hosts than John and Veronika. The house is huge with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. We spent about 80% of our weekend out by the pool. My group has rented houses once or twice a year for the last five years and this is the first property that we all agreed we must return to. Can't wait for next summer!

Wonderful vacation home

  • 5 of 5

This property was awesome. There was plenty of space for everyone. The pool was very enjoyable and everyone enjoyed swimming. The kitchen had everything we needed. The kids as well as some adults enjoyed the game room. Overall our stay was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. A must place to go to was Jim Thorpe, Pa which was only around 8 to 10 miles from the rental house. We never had to contact the owners for anything as everything we needed was there.

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for a week and had an awesome time. The house is large and easily accommodated a larger group of people. We especially enjoyed the outside area and the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We would stay again!

Amazing Oasis!

  • 5 of 5

This property is one where pictures cannot do it justice!

The house is much larger than it appears from the outside. I was skeptical of the living space based on the pictures, but was blown away by the size and open unique layout of the home. Our group was 10 adults and 4 children ages 7 years old to 6 months old, and there was always room to spare. The industrial sized refrigerator in the kitchen was paramount in maintaining all of our food for the 4 day weekend, in addition to the deep chest freezer and second mini fridge in the basement and garage. The 3 master suites were perfect for the 3 couples who had children, and the other two bedrooms featured very large beds and closet space, with wraparound deck available on the main floor.

And of course, the pool is fantastic, with a great pool deck and available chairs and umbrellas. We enjoyed the pool area the whole weekend! The basketball hoop in the driveway was an added bonus that the kids and adults certainly enjoyed. The basement space was a great getaway when the kiddies were in bed for the adults to hang out, come from the pool area, and generally enjoy the open space without worrying about waking the little ones.

The owner was very open with us the entire time from initial interest all the way throughout our stay, providing information on appliances, local points of interest and grocery options. He also was very helpful when we arrived in terms of locating certain items, as well as things to know once we got there.

Overall a great property and stay, and we would absolutely return.

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

Our group was four couples and kids. The house was big enough to fit all of us more than comfortably. Everything was in working order and clean. The owners were very responsive. The location is close enough to skiing which was also a plus. We would definitely stay again.
