Amazing view. Quiet. Spacious.

  • 4 of 5

With a family of eight, we had plenty of room! The balcony on this place is amazing! We watched birds of prey fly by the window all weekend long. Coming from the city, it's a great place to get away and enjoy nature. The sounds of the birds and the beautiful water just behind our unit... so peaceful. There are huge couches in the living room so we had a lot of family time enjoyed watching movies and playing board games and hanging out together as well as taking a picnic and hiking the state park nearby.

The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are that the kitchen cabinets are nearing the end of their lives, and need replaced, especially the silverware drawer. Also, I booked this particular place because of the indoor pool which my kids were so looking forward to swimming on their spring break. Unfortunately, the heater was broken so the pool was freezing cold. That was a real bummer!

Condo was dirty..

  • 1 of 5

This condo needs major cleaning. These are issues you can not see in a picture. Bedding and linens were solided. We even went out and bought cheap pillows just to stay there because the ones in the condo had huge stains. There was a mattress in a closet that was to be used as a extra bed but again it had a huge stain on it. I would have left but it was the forth of July weekend and everything else was booked.

Spacious, with a wonderful view

  • 4 of 5

The condo was well appointed and roomy enough for 4 adults and 5 children. We enjoyed being at the end of the building with a fantastic view of the lake and the state park. We would certainly stay here again. We took the kids zip-lining at Zippy's, which is a good place for children and beginners to try zip-lining. They also enjoyed the games and hammocks on offer at Zippy's. The food at Shorty Pants was a hit with everyone.

What a wonderful weekend!!

  • 5 of 5

There were two of us in this spacious beautiful condo, and we enjoyed every minute. The balcony and view were gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting out there every afternoon as the temperatures were in the 70s! Our one disappointment was that we came to see the turning leaves, but there was very little fall foliage. We were told that this area does not have much color in the fall. But our condo and view were so wonderful, it more than made up for the foliage. Jason couldn't have been kinder nor easier to work with. We decided to stay an extra night and did so with no problem. Parking was easy and having an elevator made it easy to ride in my wheelchair. Everything we wanted was there, even a fly shatter! We really enjoyed relaxing in the recliners on both sofas, the huge TV with a great picture, the views out of the bedrooms and the living room, and the overall comfortableness of the whole unit. We definitely want to come back here again and enjoy it all over again!

The property manager communicated well with us on the lease agreement and rules. The apartment was roomy and very nice in the open area and the great room furniture was very comfortable and the views were awesome. Also, the screened in balcony was nice with ceiling fans as well. The swimming pools were also nice and clean. Unfortunately, the property itself was not designed well. After a rain there is water standing in a couple of places on the cement (at least 12 hours after the rainfall). The air conditioning condenser and furnace/fan unit are not large enough to handle the square footage so had to turn the thermostat down to 73. Overall the unit was pretty clean and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and kitchen supplies. The biggest reason for 2-stars is that the king size bed is not right. My wife slept on it and I slept in the front bedroom. The bed next to the 2nd bath was not as comfortable as we are used to. We did enjoy our stay though and it was relaxing. Thank you!

We won't stay at this complex again.

  • 1 of 5

The condo itself was fine. The only complaint were the mattresses provided for four of the 10 guests. They were horrible. The 'security' guard was a nightmare, and not just for us. The pool closed at 11. At 11:07 (yes, past time), we were out of the pool, and getting dressed to head up to our room. He wrote us a ticket. Okay, this was fine, but he spent 20 minutes chastising us with this long diatribe about the pool hours. It was over the top. The next day, a family told us they got a ticket because their music was too loud. They were in their slip, on their boat, well away from the condo itself, and they got a ticket. Two days after that, my daughter and I were sleeping out by the pool at 3:00 p.m. He woke us up to ask us if we had our pool band. I told him it was under the lounger (which it was). He then told us he didn't need to see it, because we weren't in the pool anyway, and didn't need it to simply lay out. I asked him why in the heck did he wake us up then? No answer. If you want a relaxing, but fun place to stay, I would not suggest the Towers. We have stayed there twice. Our group (20 of us), will take our business elsewhere the next time we visit the lake.

Owner's Response: To our future guests: This is the first review / complaint like this that I've ever received. This one star review is coming from a group that clearly disregarded our rental agreement (max occupancy and other rules) and our advertising of sleeping arrangements. We have a maximum occupancy of 9 and they speak to having 10 in their review. Their reservation request stated they had 2 adults and 3 children... Had I known their group doubled, I would have suggested an additional property in the complex or an alternate. Our sleeping arrangements are clearly posted and we have sleeping arrangements for just 6 adults and 3 smaller children as the amenities itemize. These guests were not fined and they did not have their damage deposit charged for any fines assessed to the owners for their violations. The warning "tickets" document who the owners or guests are that are in violation so that they're clearly informed of the rules and so that everyone takes the complex rules seriously. It is the security staffs job to ensure people follow the complex rules so that we can keep the complex pleasant for the owners and their guests. Warnings always precede any fines being assessed, and our guests are made well-aware of the complex rules, quiet hours, etc. in the rental agreement. In addition, rules are clearly posted and the indoor pool lighting also indicates pool closure times, etc.
