About Jon

We enjoy Managing and Operating our vacation rental personally. From our own experience as VRBO renters, dealing with a private Management company may not be the most pleasant experience and may feel like an impersonal process when planning your vacation. There is a little more flexibility dealing directly with the owner and we love being involved in communicating directly with our guests.

We take pride in offering our guests a great home away, providing our guest with a memorable Hawaiian experience, and for our guests to take away a small piece of the Aloha spirit.

Whether you are new to the island or one of our frequent guests, we believe that the Service we provide is what separates us from other owners. We have owned our condo since 2010 and from all the great reviews over the years it has been very rewarding to know we have had a small part in our guests Maui experience.

Why Jon chose Kihei

We have done a lot of research in choosing the perfect vacation rental on the island of Maui. The Kihei Akahi complex is centrally located on the island and is a personal favorite for many of our guests for that reason. With Kamaole Beach Park II (One of Maui's Best Beaches) for spending the day in the sun within steps of the condo, many fabulous restaurants & shopping right next door to the complex, and being Central to everything on the island, makes The Kihei Akahi and our condo a great choice.

What makes this condo unique

The Kihei Akahi is a clean, quiet, and a well manicured property. Our bottom floor, end unit, is convenient and easily accessible from the close parking stall. There is a large grass lanai between two community pools and a Tennis Court for a day of exercise. We offer air conditioning in the unit with ceiling fans and stationary fans for maximum comfort and more kitchen amenities than the average rental. The rental is fully stocked with all the amenities of a resort and more.

Great location!

Our family spent Christmas in Kihei. The condo had everything we needed to entertain the kids and adults in our group. The location is second to none. The girls made the five minute drive to the Aquatic Centre to swim morning laps, we crossed the street to Kam II (the best beach in Kihei) to swim and SUP, in the evenings we took advantage of the gas bbq down by the pool or took a short walk to the gelato place and then watched the sunset and played Yahtzee for hours!

Jon was very easy to work with and contact. He went beyond what I expect of an owner in that he responded to questions right away, checked in with us along the way and made every effort to ensure our stay went well. He was fabulous. The condo was great as well. It had everything we needed, plenty of bedding, towels, beach supplies and kitchen items. GREAT location and parking spot! I would recommend this condo and would definitely deal with Jon again if we come back to Maui or head to StThomas :) Thank you, Jon!

Comfortable and convenient to all amenities.

The condo is cozy and well equipped. It does need some updating and modernization though. The location is so handy to the beaches and local shops, restaurants and attractions. Jon is a wonderful host who we had an opportunity to meet. He and Shelly couldn't do enough to ensure a great stay. And Jon was very open to our suggestions for a few ways to update the condo for future visits. The rental rate was good and the condo was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A reasonably priced, family oriented rental.

Location - location - location

Nice ground floor unit with patio looking onto garden area. It was a treat to watch & listen to the various birds that visited each morning and evening. Unit was clean and had all usual condo amenities. Only a few hundred yards to the beach. Jonathon was prompt in resolving a couple of minor issues during our stay, a missing TV remote and a broken glass louvre on the master bedroom window. Lots of places within walking distance to eat, including the famous Coconuts fish tacos and the Cinnamon Roll Place.

Absolutly AMAZING!!

Everything was perfect...this condo was PERFECT for our "Girls" trip with our friends. The condo had ALL The extras and then some!! Down to extra sunscreen!! The most stocked condo we have stayed at!!!! The staff at the office went above and beyond. It was SO close to the beach and our favorite restaurants and not to mention the FIRST parking spot!! Just perfect!! We will be back!!! Thank you!!!

Far exceeded our expectations!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Jon in the Virgin Islands a few years ago. We were the only two people in the restaurant so we struck up a conversation while waiting 45 min for a to go order. He mentioned his property in Maui a place that was on my bucket list. We stayed in touch over the years and we sent our last kid to college this year so we said it is time to go o Maui.

Jon and his wife have paid attention to every detail. Down to the great Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella. To having so many ice packs for you to take your lunch on the beach without worrying about your food and drinks getting warm. The crazy thing they even have several cooler options as well. It was truly like being at home because they have thought about everything.

The condo was in an awesome location steps from the beach and dozens of restaurants and shops. Everyone on the property was super nice. The condo was wonderfully decorated with a great kitchen and outdoor seating.

Again I would like to thank Jon and Shelley for a truly wonderful vacation and we will be back! The only negative is that we had to return home to the cold!

Awesome Location!

Very clean. Great location. 2 minute walk to Fred's for breakfast or dinner. Building security was too notch... always felt comfortable. Would highly recommend for families.
