Guestbook comments from the owner

We just returned from a wonderful week in this log chalet. Everything about the home was wonderful. Such a peaceful setting, it was easy to forget about our busy lives and just relax. Everyone agreed we would love to stay here again. We all enjoyed the hot tub too. Our dog thought we chose this home just for him since he was in swimming at the pond everyday. We also enjoyed having campfires in the evenings. All in all - the perfect week!

A New Annual Tradition!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I planned a trip to the chalet that included our children (3.5yo son and 1.5yo daughter), our Beagle, my parents, and their Bishon. Upon arrival I was immediately impressed with the tranquil surroundings, the well-kept state of the chalet, and the superb cleanliness of the chalet (which I have found can be hard to find in a vacation rental home). The house had every cooking tool, amenity that you needed, super cozy beds and sheets (I actually messaged Tom asking where he found those great sheets), and a very responsive caretaker/owner (Tom). We were out of trash bags one night and one message to Tom and he had trash bags on the front steps by the next morning! He was also very helpful answering any and all of my many questions about the area. My parents forgot dog food for their pup and were able to get it easily in the local town of Milford.

There is so much to do! Cable and internet were very easy to use, the den in the basement provided a place for my dad to sneak away after a day of fishing and watch old westerns, and there were plenty of games and books available! The furniture was tastefully coordinated and super clean and comfy! Outside there is a hot tub that we didn't use (but plan on it next year) and the pond is just steps away from the back steps. My 3.5yo son caught his first fish in the pond and I caught a catfish!!! We were able to hike around the property in the woods, which was just enough for our little ones. There are local hiking trails, but we didn't make it to them this time. We cooked or grilled for every meal and never felt that we longed for an amenity/cooking tool. Needless to say, we plan on returning to the chalet! It's a new annual family tradition! Thanks again Tom!!

We loves it the chalet was so nice and clean. Pretty much everything we needed was provided for us. Very peaceful and remote but not to far away from some towns.

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was my son's first trip to the Poconos and we loved the natural setting surrounding the property. We were looking for a tranquil environment and this was the perfect place. Very lovely and comfortable home! We look forward to returning for another vacation.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a short stay at the Chalet. The home and property were lovely and very well-maintained. It was the numerous small touches that made this place really special. We were greeted with a hand-written note and a small box of chocolates upon check-in. The house was well supplied with high quality linens -- soft sheets and fluffy towels, especially nice after soaking in the hot tub! We cooked all of the meals during our stay and found all of the cookware, dishes, tools and utensils we needed -- even a fork for roasting marshmallows in the fire pit out back. It rained one of the days of our stay, but we played lots of pool and found plenty of games for lots of fun memories. We've already talked about coming back again for another getaway in the fall! Thank you Tom and Teresa for a wonderful getaway!

Great house and hospitality

  • 5 of 5

My sister and our partners had a lovely stay at this property. The house was clean, very nicely furnished, and had a great layout. We enjoyed playing pool downstairs, grilling on the tree-surrounded deck, and playing games together in the upstairs living room. The surrounding property is very nicely kept and enjoyable to explore. Tom was a very attentive and thoughtful host. We used his nicely put together binder to choose a couple hikes to do in the area and appreciated when he went out of his way to make sure we had more gas for the grill on July 4 when the previous gas tank ran out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!
