Very comfortable beds and great AC for the humid days and nights. We had plenty of room for everyone

  • 3 of 5

Slept like babies and felt very cool and comfortable at all times. Needed more dock room as we had a couple of boats and jet skis. We got lucky and were allowed to dock next door. Would recommend updating the hall bath as the shower faucet was difficult to maneuver. Two bedrooms were connected so there was a lot of traffic in and out of one room, which got to be a bit frustrating when trying to dress. The place was not as clean as I would have liked it when we first arrived. There were dead roaches throughout the house, splattered bug guts on a bathroom mirror and sand on the floor. Overall though, we had a good time and felt comfortable. Would stay again but only if we had just one boat.

Relaxing Getaway with Friends

  • 4 of 5

The property was perfect for a long weekend getaway with Friends. Joanne was easy to deal with and communicate with. The house was well maintained, although we didn't spend much time indoors. The covered dock was a perfect place to wind down after a day on the water.

Lovely home on Goat Island

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our weekend away at this adorable home on Goat Island. The house was well decorated and there was plenty of space for all of us. And there ended up being an extra bed which was an added bonus. We truly did not want to leave. We will absolutely come back to this house.

Enjoyed our stay at Goat Island

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our vacation on Goat Island. This was our first visit there and we will be returning again. The house was

clean and very spacious. We had 9 grown ups and had plenty of room. Kitchen was fully stocked and having linens there was a plus. The only thing that we found and could not be helped because of being on the island was no trash pick up. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and we would visit there again!

Outside House with Dock was beautiful! Inside needs attention!

  • 3 of 5

From the outside looking in, it was picture perfect. We walked inside the house and I was not impressed. It was dirty and I smelled mold. My family advised me to ignore it, it's a beach house. I've been in several and this was rock bottom for me. There were stains on the carpet, pillows, and chairs. The living room still had left over Doritos from guests previously lodged in the middle ottoman. I was amazed that someone had previously come in to clean prior to our arrival. There was dust and rust throughout the house. The pillows and mattress covers had blood and urine stains all over them. I was completely horrified. I reported this to the owner and she assured me, this would be addressed. She said no one ever reported these things and she was glad we did. I submitted photos for her to review. Back master bedroom does get very warm. The dock is in the middle of a wake zone and your boats and watercraft will take a beating. It's like a highway getting out during the summer to leave your dock. This is a very nice house, but the owners need to give it serious attention or fire their house cleaning crew. If the guests didn't report it, they should have!!!

Everything you wanted and more...

  • 5 of 5

Goat Island is a 5 minute boat ride from Isle of Palms but feels like your on your own private island! The house was amazing and beautiful! You can spend your day fishing off the dock, creating your own adventures exploring the island or just relaxing on the side deck reading a good book! The house was much bigger than the pictures indicate and had all the essentials. Joanne made the trip simple and easy to book. I even talked to the owners before coming down and they were a pleasure and we thank them for sharing their goat island oasis with us! I highly recommend booking and visiting! We plan to make this something we take our kids to!
