Business customers, Why stay in a sub-par over-priced Hamptons hotel? We have a lot of winter business groups looking for an alternative where several people can stay with more amenities than the local hotels have to offer including strong internet, bedrooms with large screen TV's, an out door hot tub and a clean room without wall to wall carpeting. Fully renovated for 2015 this super clean house features air conditioning, three bedrooms with a new Queen and Twin bed in each, a professional kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, convection oven, ice maker, blender and toaster, washer/dryer, a six person Hot-Tub, an outdoor ping-pong table, 2 kayaks, 40" smart televisions in each bedroom with internet access and cable TV, a 55" smart television in the living room with Cable TV access, a Weber Genesis outdoor grill, and a pet friendly enclosed shady yard. We are a block away from a swimmable bay beach on beautiful Shinnecock Bay and less than a quarter mile from a Mechutt beach on the Peconic bay with full facilities including bathrooms, showers, raw bar, restaurant, full bar, and nightly live music during the summer. If the ocean is your thing there is a public beach just 2 miles away. There is a local Jet ski rental to be had if that's your thing. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the house including Cowfish, eclectic American cuisine on the water featuring live music on the summer weekends, and an outstanding Italian restaurant called Edgewater, also on the Bay. There is a seasonal restaurant for the best (and priciest) breakfast in the Hamptons across the street at the Hampton Maid. There is also a seafood restaurant nearby with lobsters to go. Vineyard tours are easily arranged by a taxi/limousine/airport bus company we can recommend in the neighborhood. Deep sea fishing tours are a block away, as well as a large fishing supply center. Golfers have a 15 minute drive to many east end courses in the area of Riverhead. In the off season we often rent to businesses visiting the area on assignment as a less expensive group rental alternative to paying for separate rooms at the over-priced handful of local hotels. We also are very popular with gals getaway weekends, wedding and baby showers and elder birthday parties. Vineyard visiting is popular all year round but especially in the autumn. We have been renting for 17 years. This house can also be rented with a larger house on the property if both are available at the same time. That house is Homeaway listing #351388. During July and August our weekly rentals are from Thursday to Thursday. No prom groups please, minimum renter age is 25.

About Reggie Ollen

I went to Columbia University and currently work in Local 52 as a video engineer, Simone went to James Madison University and the Culinary Institute of America, which is why she insisted on a serious kitchen in the house. She currently manages properties as well as our two boys in grammar school. We have been renting these houses for 17 years. I was born in New York and grew up in Queens, Simone was born in Indiana and grew up in Long Island and Memphis, Tennessee. We now live in Brooklyn, New York.

Why Reggie Ollen chose Hamptons

My sister moved out here in the '90's to open the Irish pub in town, Buckley's Inn Between, a great restaurant we recommend, and I bought this house and the house on the water with my dad as an investment and so our family would have a place to meet for holidays. We still do. The houses were built in 1928. This cottage was the servants quarters to the larger house on the water, which was a speakeasy during prohibition. That larger house is our Homeaway rental 351388.

What makes this house unique

I love this area, so many different types of waterfront to explore. The village has a small town and diverse feel which is probably because it is one of the few towns in Eastern Suffolk that stays fully open through the winter. I like this house because it is old on the outside and new on the inside, the yard is shady and fun, and it's an affordable getaway for this area that is the gateway to all things Hampton as well as North Fork.

Clean and enjoyable

The house was clean and well kept. The hot tub was a nice plus.

The house manual Reggie put together was invaluable. Definitely try Cowfish for dinner. Good spot to stay if you want to day trip to other parts of the Hamptons as well.

We enjoyed our stay here.

Great Space for a group!

The kitchen/living room had an open floor plan which was great for the group we had. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Who ever stayed there before us did not clean out the fridge and left a half eaten tray of meat and fruit sitting in there (which was pretty gross). Also, the hot tub maintenance guy showed up, unannounced, and walked right in to the backyard. As a group of women staying in a house alone it was a bit unsettling to have a random strange man show up in the backyard. There was also a cigarette butt hanging from the umbrella outside. It seems as if there really wasn't much cleaning done in between guest stays. Overall the space and location were great and it served its purpose

Owner's Response: I spoke to my cleaning crew. Normally they empty the refrigerator of everything but sealed condiments. I also told my spa serviceman to introduce himself before maintaining the hot tub. He said he didn't see any parked cars and assumed no one was home.

Exactly what we were looking for during the Xmas Holiday, clean, convenient and reasonably priced.

After shooting past the green mailbox entryway marker the first time, my wife and I found the unit easily after that. It gets a bit noisy at times, since you're right on the highway, but you get used to it soon enough. It certainly beats our horn/siren infested stays in Manhattan. The unit was clean and had all the necessary utensils for dining in if that was our choice. We mainly employed the coffee maker and toaster. We picked this spot because it was close to my son's in-laws who were hosting the family get together this year. We had quick access to the nearby beach and various surrounding hamlets. I imagine this is a sought after location during the summer. Although there were only two of us, the unit sleeps a lot more. I'd certainly stay here again and recommend it.

Perfect for the whole Family!

This house was the perfect quiet get away for our family. Close to beaches and great restaurants. We all loved the kayaking right there on the bay, and just hanging out at the house playing pingpong or relaxing in the hot tub. We will definitely be back!
