Santa Rosa Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Escape to our enchanting mountain cottage set in the rolling hills of the Mayacamas Mountains. The fully renovated 100+ year-old barn is tastefully furnished with a warmly lit open air floor plan creating a friendly escape for two to four guests. Grill and dine al fresco alongside Mark West Creek, and prepare meals in a fully-equipped kitchen. Guests are offered access to the wine storage filled with a generous selection of wines from Viluko Vineyards, for purchase at member pricing.

Our unique placement along the Mayacamas Mountains keeps us teaming with a myriad of birds and animals that call the woods home. Stroll along the many paths to explore the native flora and fauna that surround and intertwine with 37-acres of vineyards set across our 500-acre property, which itself is nestled amidst 650 acres of protected open space. Relax indoors with a book or watch television from a cozy Argentinian leather couch. Soak in the claw foot tub or in the hot tub under the stars. Rest comfortably on an organic queen mattresses, one located in the bedroom, the other in a spacious loft.

We invite you to learn about Viluko with a guided vineyard tour and private tasting. To schedule or learn more about a private tour and tasting, contact Frieda @ (707) 477-8411.

Absolutely gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome time, it was relaxing and just what we needed. The grounds are beautiful, the creek was soothing to the ear, the garden was in between plantings but still there were things to pick and added a nice zing to our breakfast. The walk to the vineyards was a bit of a climb but well worth it. The location was perfectly located to spend time on either side of the mountain. Don't miss out on the Estate Malbec and the Estate Cabernet vintage 2012. They were our favorite. Thanks to Janice for spending time with us in the barn and explaining Viluko wines to us. We can't wait to plan a return trip. Thanks for everything Donnie and Nancy

A quiet retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with the location as well as the amenities. The fact that there is no tv, coverage (verizon) or internet was a bonus. Time to reflect, read, nap and such was wonderful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of and it was all top notch. All the kitchen knives were sharp and the general thoughtfulness of everything was great. There were hiking trails and roads to explore as well as a creek that ran by the casitas. Shopping was 15 minutes away and there is a great market called Olivers that had everything you might need. Do partake in the wine tasting there as the wines are very good for such a young vineyard. Pedro is an artist! We put together a charcuterie plate for the tasting so do plan a tasting around noon in the barn. The whole experience was fantastic and will certainly come back soon!

What a wonderful setting...

  • 5 of 5

Our stay couldn't have been any better! The quiet and natural setting provided the perfect getaway but is central to so many local wineries and shops. The Casita is wonderfully appointed and very comfortable. We had a private Viluko wine tasting in the restored barn and watched the deer and turkey every day. Thanks for sharing this beautiful property.

Very nice and very quiet

  • 5 of 5

The property is a half an hour drive to town and down a pleasant mile or so lane - very quiet and private. The house is well-done and comfortable providing the ability to stay inside or walk outside. There were just the two of us, but the house could easily manage two couples. We enjoyed cooking and staying at the house. Our favorite part was the wine tasting tour we took around the property - Freida was our guide and it was only the two of us with her. I'm not much of a wine drinker and I felt Freida, very politely, brought 'down' the tasting sophistication to my level making me feel comfortable and enjoying the experience. The two hours we spent with her along with the overall environment was very pleasant.

We went to Napa as a surprise anniversary getaway and my wife was ecstatic with the entire experience. We travel considerably for work and this environment really brought the pace down and allowed nice relaxation. Now, for folks who want a more lively stay, the patio, the kitchen, the hot tub would certainly afford that too.

I do not rate many places five-star, but this spot and experience deserves it.

Beautifully Restored Napa Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, relaxing time in this charming home. The setting is absolutely beautiful with woods and vineyards surrounding you and a picturesque open air barn as the only building you can see from the property. The home itself is beautifully restored with both rustic touches and all the modern amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen with supplies that were way above the usual rental fare. It's a little out of the way in terms of proximity to the busier areas, but it's completely worth it and we will not only be returning, but will encouraging our friends and family to do so as well.

Perfect hideaway!

  • 5 of 5

One of the most peaceful perfect hideaways we have ever seen, yet 15 minutes from everything. Very secluded "cabin" with all you'll need or want. We also did the wine tour on property, and it was amazing. Sweet like slice of heaven in the heart of the wine country. The owners are very friendly and have taken care of every detail. We shall return! LM
