Very relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Came to Smithville with my Mom to relax and eat good food. We sure hit the jackpot! The home was lovely and very clean. We loved going on walks in the neighborhood and eating in the local cafes and bakery. We were there four days and would definitely go back!

Beautiful Historic Home

  • 4 of 5

The home is beautiful and located in a very quite neighborhood. We were blessed to have wonderful weather while we were there that let us enjoy the front porch in the evening. We were a little disappointed in what Smithville has to offer however you are only a short drive from Bastrop and there is plenty of shopping and dining to love. We would stay again in this beautiful home.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Although I haven't stayed here since I was a child, I had to look twice before I recognized this home, it belonged to a relative and I spent many a day there. There was the over hang and there was a bedroom there that I stayed in. Wow! It looks beautiful now,but has some of the charm from then. Wish I had the $292 a night to stay in it again. I live near Houston and Smithville is my home town.I teared up just looking at the pictures! So, I recomend it, it is a beautiful home with lots of history! Helen Windmiller...Pearland,Texas

Charming Small Town Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay at the Gresham House. The house has been beautifully redone with all the modern conveniences, but still managed to keep all of its historic charm and architectural elements. The town of Smithville is lovely and quaint. Within a few blocks and an easy stroll you can visit the small shops and local cafes for a true sense of small town life. Make sure and have breakfast or lunch at the Comfort Cafe (note: only opened on Friday, Saturday & Sunday). The food is great, but the story behind Comfort Cafe is even better. Ended up extending our stay (victims of the Round Top Antique Fair) and Julia was the most helpful and accommodating property manager that I have ever dealt with. Thanks again Julia for all your help - it was wonderful.
