Clean, comfortable, and cozy. We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time visiting this area of Ontario, and three nights was too short! Nearby Minden and Haliburton are a charming villages, and there is much to see and do around the area. All the same, it was good to get away, unplug, and relax for a few days. The cottage is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished (nice collection of books, games, and music CD's too) and the lake was perfectly serene. Only slight drawback (and we were forewarned) is that the cottage is on a somewhat steep hillside and there are many steps to get down there from the parking area. I would recommend that visitors keep this in mind when packing and perhaps consider bringing something like a little fold-up luggage cart for hauling things from the car and back. Overall, we were quite comfy and very pleased with our experience, and would love to return sometime with the grandkids in tow.

Wonderful Holiday Property

  • 5 of 5

We spent five days at Liz's cottage, Blueberry Hill, and had a great time. The cottage is very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the large deck - a great place for breakfast, the dock - a lovely spot to sit and observe the loons, and the smaller deck which was a wonderful place for a late afternoon glass of wine. It is easy to get into the lake to swim and the raft makes a great swimming destination. The canoe, kayak and paddle board were in excellent condition as were the oars and life jackets. We had lots of fun in the lake.

The pictures on the listing were genuine and accurate. Liz was pleasant and helpful.

We would love to return.

Owner's Response: What a pleasure to have these ladies. They got out there and enjoyed everything the area offers, art, wolves, hiking, canoeing and of course wine on the deck. Thanks for taking great care of the cottage and you are very welcome back, any time! Liz

Lovely Family Cottage

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful time at Liz's cottage. There is a big deck facing the lake, lots of water toys and and 2 comfy hammocks.

The cottage itself is clean, comfy and cozy. Fully equipped kitchen, internet and cell phone access.

We did have 2 issues with the water, but Liz took care of this very promptly. She was always just a phone call away if we had any issues.

A great place to relax and unwind.

Clean, well kept classic cottage that was comfortable and homey

  • 4 of 5

Sandy shore, modern upgrades inside, nice and accommodating owner, had a paddle boat, canoe, kayak and paddle board.

Nice patio to eat dinner. Grassy lawn for playing games. Very comfortable beds.

Very close to minden.

Neighbours a bit close but they were nice.

Thanks Liz for a great stay.

Nice peaceful location, clean and well represented. Awesome and breathtaking.

  • 5 of 5

This property was great. The pictures are accurate and the place is well cleaned and the environment is very peaceful for relaxing. It was camping but with a nice home instead of a tent and there are lots of activities to do. I would do this again but I recommend anyone to take a week to really enjoy it rather than the two nights option we went with. Also very kid friendly which was great.

Owner's Response: Well we are so happy that you enjoyed yourself! This Lake is very peaceful and the cottage is fairly pricate. That's what we love too, Getting out of the city to the woods- but having a comfy clean place to cook and sleep!

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

As three couples, we spent May long weekend at Blueberry hill and absolutely loved our stay. The pictures don't do it justice! The view and waterfront property are gorgeous. The inside had plenty of room for us and was nice and clean.

The two rolls of toilet paper didn't last for the 6 of us and there was no dish soap but the town was a short drive away so wasn't a problem in the end.
