Cozy and hip 2 bedroom apartment in a fantastic area of Austin. Newly renovated, all new appliances, floors and windows. Perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Austin! Luxurious sheets and other extra special touches. Only a few blocks from two of the hippest streets in town (South Congress and South First). A quick and cheap cab or direct bus to downtown.

The kitchen has an electric stove, fridge dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils (plates, silverware, pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc.) you'll need.

Our vacation rental is protected by e-locks. In other words, NO KEYS NO HASSLE! Prior to your stay we simply email you a unique code that works for your reservation only. Late check in is not a problem!

The private backyard is an ideal place to share a bottle of wine or have your morning coffee. Please note, this is a place for private get togethers and not a party house.

You also have access to heated spring fed swimming pool for free near by.

Awesome!!!

The place is convenient to i35 and downtown, and being able to use the storage shed to drop off stuff or leave stuff while checking out was great. Awesome and quick communication with owner as well!

Perfect for us!

We had such a wonderful stay and we cannot thank you enough! We just moved to Austin from Iowa so we were looking for a convenient location for me, my husband and our dog. This place was perfect! It came with everything we needed, a great yard for our pup and an extremely convenient location. I also needed to be able to work from the location too... The internet connection was super fast to support my needs so that was awesome too! If ever needed, we would stay here again and we would definitely recommend this to anyone else looking as well!!!

Poor Cell signal. WiFi down. Burglary on Premises.

Zero Stars. Took a chance on a place with no reviews-big mistake.

I will not participate in writing a fraudulent positive review, subjecting a future renter to potential harm just for a partial refund. Obvious security breaches exist allowing for vulnerability of renter's safety and belongings.

Premises are not secured. Poor to non existent phone reception. WiFi that goes down. After a week, a storage walk in (approx 70 ft from my unit) was broken into during daylight. I did not feel safe there alone after that (Unit B renters were checking out next day). I regularly had no phone signal (could only make calls outside on street). Was there to work, did not want risk of expensive gear stolen or harm to my small dogs, whether I’m there or not. Had 2 days of no wifi, spent chunk of an entire day w/AT&T directly (as per owner) in order to reboot.

Owner resides very far away, w/ a hands off approach re: Real problems, jeopardizing renter's safety and belongings. I called owner right after incident, response was to send a cleaning lady to inspect. I urged Austin Police Dept was a better idea. I requested to have APD also contact me. Wanted to clue them in that I was there alone at night with no indoor phone signal to call my husband or 911 in event of further breaking & entering. Serious dilemma. She relayed they didn’t need to speak with me. At this point, some reassurance would’ve been nice. Did not hear back from owner again that evening. I decided to go somewhere safe and not have to worry about another bad incident.

Checked into hotel that allowed dogs on short notice.

Owner challenges guests “interepretation” of event. I came upon commotion as Unit B guys busted robber who soon made getaway onto nearby main road.

I saw for myself damage done on door of walk in and its contents. The perpetrator ripped the hardware right off the door with lock still intact. I would not be able to describe interior and contents unless I could open previously locked door and look inside.

Needless to say - got no work done, have many added expenses, endured much stress. I've used Home Away before many times without incident. This was a horrible experience. I cannot recommend this to anyone.

Owner's Response: I would like to make sure that our future guests understand that this review is stating inaccurate information. Our property was not robbed and it is secured. I want to reassure our guests that this property is located in one of Austin's best residential neighborhoods. The problem with WIFI and cable was caused by AT&T company. AT&T was having problems that day with few of their towers in the area and everything was fixed by the end of the day. The tenant and I contacted AT&T to make sure repairs would happen as fast as possible. Tower problems are obviously out of the owner's control. I am a very responsive host, will respond to call, text or email within the hour. I also reside in the area. The police never contacted the guest because nothing happened.
