Charming place

  • 5 of 5

What a charming place! The location was fantastic for seeing old Quebec City. The host was very accommodating and friendly. Very helpful! (She even did a load of laundry for us when the machine in our unit acted up!!!) Loved the character of the unit. Well appointed, and comfortable. Would love to go back and stay in the same place again! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Condo in Old Quebec!

  • 5 of 5

Ma copine and I traveled to enjoyed the "Festival de Ete" of Quebec. It was amazing experience at this Condo specially in Summer! This condo is very well located and share the charming ambiance from the Old Quebec Area. Close to everything, the restaurants, the port and the major attractions of the festival. Diane and Andre, the owners, are very kind and open to help, bringing indications and even providing information about special events in the area. Also helpful at any situation we have in the Condo. We only had a small issue with the Jacuzzi and it was fixed properly and in a timely manner. This is the kind of owners of very guess dreams to have.

The Jacuzzi was totally amazing, with good size for a couple. The bedrooms are very comfortable and each bed has enough space to put clothes and store the luggage.

Having 2 floors is very convenient to have a proper separation of the social area to the private bedrooms. Also, The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, coffee maker and a refrigerator.

From the window of the master bedroom it was possible to read poems in French, projected from a neighbor, every night. It was pretty romantic to watch this sharing a glass of wine...

Totally recommendable! Perfect gateway for a family or a couple. We enjoyed so much!

Wonderful, clean, great location---perfect

  • 5 of 5

Four of us stayed at the condo for a week. It is located in the old city above a cafe. The street where it is located has outdoor dining, white table cloths, etc. It is a perfect location for exploring the old city. The views from the condo are picturesque and reminiscent of Europe. Diane and Andre are gracious hosts--welcoming and very accessible. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms were large with ample closet space and storage. The full bath is large, with additional storage. The half bath downstairs has a washer and dryer as well. Additionally, it was nice to have enough seating in the living room for 4+ people. So many times there is only a couch and maybe a chair. This condo has a couch for 3, a recliner, and a divan. There is wifi, and English speaking channels on the TV. There are so many restaurants and boutiques within easy walking distance including a grocery store and market. There is a bit of noise on weekends from those dining and walking the streets below, but it quiets down relatively soon after the restaurants close. The garbage trucks do make noise in the morning, but they are there and gone within minutes. We would recommend this condo to all. There are stairs, however, so just be aware that this may pose a problem for some who cannot navigate stairs well. We would definitely stay here again. Couldn't ask for a better place or better hosts. We loved it.

Magical week

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a wonderful week here and the apartment couldn't have suited our purposes better ! The location was great -- we walked to everything. We recommend the bistro downstairs for a special meal. When the owner learned we were staying upstairs she fitted us in on a busy evening. Diane and her husband are charming hosts and very accommodating. Yes, the evenings are a bit noisy, but we found the sounds of people in the streets below to be tolerable background noise. The crowds when we were there were older and well behaved. The ghost tours are loud but end early. I would stay here again in a heartbeat ! The only suggestion would be to echo the idea of fans for the summer days (our Sept. stay was a warm 82 degrees all week, but cooled off in the evenings). Merci beaucoup Diane !

Chic apartment in the heart of Old Port!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 recently stayed in this charming condo I'm the heart of Old Quebec. The condo is spacious, even with only two bedrooms. My two youngest children slept on mattresses on the floor and there was still plenty of room. Diane was wonderful and helpful when we had questions.

This condo sits above a bistro - how fitting we thought. The street is very lively at all times but especially at night with diners, drinkers and tours. It is noisy in this neighbourhood. The one complaint we has was the city recycling/ garbage services. They work at 4:30-5:00am. It was maddening. The trucks park directly beneath the bedroom windows for about an hour (they can't fit in the street) and wheel all the containers down the street, load them and then wheel them back. It was impossible to sleep through. And it occurs tree times per week - twice for garbage pick up and once for recycling.

I should also mention that this apartment does not have air conditioning. We were there during a hot spell and the top floor was 28 degrees at night. Very hot and difficult to sleep. Fans would have helped so being some little portable fans with you. Because of the heat we had to leave the windows open at all times, which meant we couldn't block out the noise! This was all fine for us and didn't bother my kids at all, but be aware!

We loved this apartment and the location. Very easy to walk to the many sites, shops and restaurants. We also rented a parking spot which was very convenient. I would recommend this condo and we would stay here again.
