|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
This throwback cabin has been completely remodeled and is ready to make your island vacation a reality. Herron is a private island (we'll give you passes) so you will escape the hustle of the normal vacation crowds and just experience total relaxation and blood pressure lowering peace and quiet. Fireplace inside for those chilly Pacific Northwest nights, chiminea on the deck in case you never want to leave the view. Will sleep 2 in the cabin and two in man cave- maybe three if you don't mind that there's only one bathroom. Feed the deer, hike or run the quiet roads, watch the eagles soar over the water, and check out the park in the middle of the island where kids can play on the playground, play basketball and just run around. :)
I'm a world traveler but always come back to decompress at my island home on Herron. Love it here.
Russell Meade purchased this cabin in 2007
We think our home is the best value on the island. Not only is it well priced, but it is truly a homey comfortable place that feels like family, not just a cold rental opportunity. We have people who want to stay a month😀and not just in the summer. Consider being wrapped in a warm blanket watching the clouds roll off the inlet in October November or December. There's a fire in the chimenea and you're ears are tuned for the sound of whales, seals and eagles.
Beautiful cabin overlooking the water and having all the amenities of home. The deer were everywhere and tame enough to come right up to you. Everyone we met was very friendly and Leslie, the neighbor, was very kind and helped us settle in and checked on us regularly. I highly recommend this cabin if you're looking to get away from the city for a few days. My mom came from out of state and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We loved our stay at this wonderful cabin. Very quaint, clean and cozy. We loved making meals in the beautiful kitchen, feeding the deer from the back deck, reading books, watching movies, walking on the beach, and just enjoying the view from every window. We will definitely come back to this wonderful special place. Herron Island is so peaceful and beautiful!
Had a peaceful and quiet weekend on Herron Island. This cabin is great! The full kitchen was spacious and well stocked. The soft bed was big enough for two. The deck is the real highlight. Lots of space with great views, right on the water. We used the large gas grill for dinner and it worked out well with plenty of propane. Access to the beach from the cabin is a little steep, but a short walk to North and South beaches for sunsets and swimming. Only downside was no ESPN for the man cave, but you're not really there for the TV, are you?
My husband and I took our 6 month old to escape the hustle and bustle of Seattle for a few days. We absolutely loved the cabin, the ease of communicating with the owner, the neighbors and the entire island. We hope to come back soon! Also, the kitchen view makes cooking fun!
It was our first time going to the Island. The cabin and property were beautiful. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Island was relaxing and there is a beach to enjoy. The deck was perfect for lounging in the sun and enjoying a fire at night. Next door neighbor, Leslie, was a great host. Highly recommend this little slice of Washington paradise.
We absolutely love this well-appointed cabin. It is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful views of the water, deer so tame they will eat out of your hand. The Herron community is also amazing. The people who live on this island are generous and kind. Highly recommend.
Our Cabin is located on Herron Island, which is south west of Gig Harbor in the Case Inlet. Herron is a private island with only homes, no stores or restaurants so you must bring in your own supplies. Very quiet, secluded and romantic. Hike, beachcomb on the two beaches, swim in summer, bird watch, or just hang out on the big beautiful deck and watch seals and the occasional boat go by. Want a bit more action today? Go off island and explore Mt. Rainer National Park or the Olympic Rainforest. Run over to Gig Harbor and have a great lunch at The Tides Tavern then stop at the store and pick up some fresh oysters and wine for sitting on the deck when you get home! You can also drive 40 min to the Bremerton Ferry where you'll be left off at the bottom of the Pike Place Market in Seattle.
