The Collins family history of camp ownership at Long point dates back to 1930 when much of Long point was being built. Purchased in 1959 by our parents, Collins Way has been tastefully updated, yet still retains the camp feel that takes you back in time. You can still walk the dirt roads, play ball in the meadow, play hide and seek in the woods. You can jump off the dock, or row the boat around the bay as we did as kids.
Collins Way is on the lake with an enclosed front porch, and an open deck with stunning lake and mountain views along with fabulous sunsets. We offer a full kitchen opening into an L shaped living dining combination which boasts a fireplace with wood insert for chilly evenings. We can sleep 6 with 2 bedrooms with 2 full double beds, and 1 with 2 singles. You can soak in our deep clawfoot tub, or take a fabulous shower in our newly remodeled bathroom. It's a short walk to the sandy beach for the little ones. Or in the other direction it is a short walk to the open meadow with playground and clay tennis court.

Cute, casual, and comfortable. Family friendly.
We enjoyed our one week stay at Collins Way. The camp is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfasts and sunsets on the porch and outdoor deck. We weren't inside the cabin much since we were out on the lake swimming and fishing.
Loved our stay! We relaxed on the cool porch and soaked in the views, went running through the neighborhood, rowed around the bay and out to some islands, and relaxed.
Hinesburgh Public House was an easy drive and had great food, music, and service.
Cabin is quirky, but fully stocked; we could have baked or cooked, we did our laundry, and wanted for nothing. We didn't have to share the rowboat or dock and they were in excellent condition.
We'd go back in a heartbeat!
We had a great stay. This camp was very well equipped and a great location. We enjoyed our selfs. Thanks
Very pleasant camp in a great location. Camp was well equipped in every way. Water access for swimming more difficult than at a beach; rocky bottom (but not mucky or weedy) and there was unfortunately no ladder off the dock. Flotation devices like noodles, paddle boards really helpful for kids & old folks so you can get yourself in and just stay in as long as you like. Our 6 year old just swam with her life jacket on and had a great time. We had fun with the rowboat; nice to have a boat provided that we didn't have to rent for extra.
The cabin is right on the lake screened in porch area overlooking lake. The place was cozy but fit 6 people (3 couples) perfectly! Ivy was fantastic to work with and her response rate was impressive. The place was clean, Ivy left detailed instructions and there were all the necessary kitchen supplies and more.
We will definitely be returning!
The Collins Way camp was just right for our family of five. Beds were comfortable and teenaged kids had fun choosing where inside the camp to stay. Inside space was surprisingly roomy with open living plan and attached sun porch. Kitchen was a little small, but clean and well equipped. Water access was good and we really appreciated the provided water shoes as the rocks were slippery. Kids had excellent time swimming and fishing everyday. We enjoyed walking all the neighborhood roads with our dog each day. The kids had fun using longboards on nearby paved roads. Plenty of fun local sightseeing between Kimball Brook Farm, Vergennes, VT Cookie Love, and Charlotte Ferry. A great little Vermont vacation spot, we will definitely consider staying here again!
