Lahaina Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Just walk 10 minutes to Ka’anapali Beach, the top beach in the world, you can enjoy twice the space at half the price of Ka’anapali Resort ocean-front condos.

The unit has been completely renovated in the summer of 2011 by Maui's top interior designer and contractor creating a very upscale, Hawaiian interior design. The fully equipped kitchen has custom cherry cabinets, top quality granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms are newly tiled and finished with the same cabinets and granite to provide continuity throughout. We want you to leave the mainland behind when you step in the front door.

This stunning relaxed island-style 2-bedroom, 2-bath luxury condominium features an open floor plan, 1800 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space with air conditioning on two levels. This condo is larger because several optional areas have been enclosed. The condo sleeps 4 - 6. Enjoy relaxing, drinks and dinner on the spacious lanai with a gas BBQ grill, wet bar, and table with seating for 6.

Our condo, K-302, has the best sunset views because of its central location in the resort and because it occupies the top two floors of the 4-story building. You will enjoy the breathtaking westerly view of the ocean, golf course, Ka’anapali resorts, and the Islands of Molokai and Lanai from the spacious lanai and from the master suite. To really appreciate the location of this unit, Google 'Maui Revealed Ka’anapali Royal' for an aerial view of the resort.

Up one flight of stairs, the entry takes you into the dining room, kitchen, and laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The sunken living room has a 55' LED LCT HDTV, a rocking chair and a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa. The dining room has a triangular dining table and seating for 6.

The enlarged upstairs master suite allows privacy from the rest of the unit. The room offers a vaulted ceiling, palm fan, King Serta plush mattress, and HDTV. The bathroom has a large tub with a shower. This room is larger than most in the complex as the prior owners had expanded the size.

The first floor queen bedroom suite offers HDTV, a ceiling fan, and an attached bathroom with shower. There is a small office area in an alcove with Internet, secure Wi-FI, and printer for your computer.

According to a Conte Nast poll, Ka’anapali Beach is # 1 beach on #1 rated Island. Ka’anapali Royal is a first-class resort with gated security and a convenient swimming pool, pool-side BBQ area, and lighted tennis courts. It sits on a ridge overlooking the 16th fairway of the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed Ka’anapali Royal Golf course where the PGA Senior Skins Tournament is played. Guests may choose from 10 other outstanding golf courses on the Island.

Enjoy a stroll to Whalers Village for shops, ocean-front dining, and exciting night life. They even have Sunday church services at Leilani’s on the Beach. Get your exercise and enjoy the fresh air, romantic sunsets on the Ka’anapali Beachwalk that goes from the Sheraton at the north end to the Hyatt at the south end. The close proximity to the world famous Ka’anapali Beach is ideal for fun activities: snorkeling and diving at Black Rock, parasailing, kayaking, boogie boarding, sailing, sunset dinner cruises, whale watching (November – April), surfing, resort spas, or just plain relaxing in the sun.

In Lahaina, a historic hot spot only 10 minutes away by car, Maui visitors enjoy dozens of art galleries and a variety of shops and restaurants. For the more adventuresome, one can bike down Haleakala or ride the Kapalua Zip-line.

We recently changed all the windows and sliding doors for high efficiency, double-paned glass so our condo is cooler and quieter. We also have a brand new gas grill on the lanai.

About The Owner

Kay Kendall and I were married on the beach in Maui on May 21, 2012 at sunset. We are principles in a consulting practice named BaldrigeCoach.

Our recent book, The Executive Guide to Understanding and Implementing Baldrige in Healthcare; Evidence-Based Excellence, was just published. It is available at Amazon and the ISBN 978-1453817988.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2011

Why The Owner chose Maui

I have been coming to Hawaii 3 or 4 times a year for over 40 years using my timeshares on Maui and Kauai. When I decided to buy a condo, I looked on Kauai, Hawaii, and Maui. I preferred this area over South Maui because of the proximity to Ka'anapali Beach, Lahaina, and the tradewinds make it more comfortable year round.

I also looked at ocean front condos at other Ka’anapali Resorts. Most or those units were smaller, or the cost was three to five times higher. For me, it was a trade off. We are willing to walk to the beach to get more serenity and privacy as well as to be able to offer more affordable rates and value to our guests.

What makes this condo unique

Owning our condo allows us to have a full kitchen, wonderful views, and a place to keep my bicycle. It also gives us an office area to work in that I can share with you.

It is our second home and is large enough to host family and friends comfortably. For additional privacy we like our floor plan where the bedrooms are on separate floors.

We love whale watching, and you are 10 minutes from Lahaina which is great for shopping, dining, and whale watching cruises.

The west Maui mountains are the most beautiful on the Island and are great for sight seeing and hiking.

Wonderful Condo - great location! Beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the quality and location of this condo. It was very clean and beautifully decorated with quality everywhere you looked. The beds were very comfortable. And we were very pleased to find plenty of chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels and other things to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped for those who like to cook - which we did. The pantry contained necessary basics such as sugar, salt/pepper and a few things left behind by previous renters such as coffee, wine etc. It was also super quiet and we never heard any other tenants. The only noticeable noise was the morning traffic heard in the second bedroom. It's not as bad if you sleep with the window closed. , Don't forget to check out the free Whalers Village Trolley that you can use to get to and from the beach or other hotels. We took it from the Sheraton to our condo one of the days. You can find the schedule online.

Glenn was very responsive to our requests and needs - one of which included an early check-in. We certainly recommend this place!

nciely updated unit in older building, good for a small group

  • 4 of 5

Our group of five enjoyed our stay at Kaanapali Royale. The unit is well equipped and nicely furnished. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but there are peek a boo views to the ocean from both upper and lower rooms. The pool is quite nice with trees for shade when it gets too hot. Light sleepers may not enjoy the downstairs bedroom which backs onto Honoapi'ilani Hwy. While we were there (late Sept), resurfacing of the parking lot was a little disruptive - this happened same time last year and was noted in the unit's guest book - something to ask about if you plan a visit at this time, especially if you have someone along who has trouble walking any distance. BTW, $75 parking fee was only time we've ever had to pay for parking in Hawaii in 30 years of visits here, including at Kapalua and Wailea.

Glenn responded promptly to an issue upon check-in - we appreciated this.

We enjoyed Kaanapali and Kapalua beaches, easy hike along Kapalua coast to Fleming Beach, 'weekend warrior' golfing at Kapalua, breakfasts/lunches at Plantation House (Kapalua - much more reasonable than you'd think) as well as dinner at Lahaina Grill. We had a yummy take out dinner from Honokawai Okazuya and a really decent lunch at the Honolua General Store on the Kapalua grounds.

Amazing Maui Condo -Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with two other couples in this beautiful Kaanapali Royal condo. The location was perfect for beautiful beach access, entertainment and shopping in Lahaina and amazing snorkeling just minutes away. The condo is in beautiful condition and provides all you need for a very comfortable, relaxing vacation in Maui. We spent many a morning and evening relaxing on the lanai and enjoying the beautiful views. The location was easily walkable to many great eating establishments as well as to one of the nicest beach spots for snorkeling. I would highly recommend this location and this specific condo for the comforts of home away from home! The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were very comfy. They had enough bath towels for all six of us and beach towels and beach chair/boogie boards for four. We'd definitely stay here again and with the same number of people very comfortably. Great Maui vacation spot!

Truly paradise found!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd time at Kaanapali Royal, but this was by far the most perfect condo. First, you find the most exquisite decor, then you find they truly have not missed ANYTHING! We normally cook in very little, but with this beautiful kitchen with all its amenities, and the best patio in Kaanapali, we made most our meals here. Secondly, the proximity to the beach makes for wonderful morning walks on the boardwalk. Then, you are in a short walk to Black Rock for snorkeling. Third, and really the most important is the responsiveness of the owner, Glenn. The very best customer service...first class all the way!

We stayed at this condo for 8 days/7 nights as 3 couples celebrating our 50th birthdays and we all were very impressed by the size and comfort and amenities of this beautiful condo! The condo was very clean, modern and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in the condo as well as out! The 2 beds were extremely comfortable and the Queen pull out was more than adequate. There were enough beach supplies (chairs, cooler, umbrellas, etc.) for 4 but we easily rented 2 more beach chairs at Snorkel Bobs and had brought 2 extra beach towels to accommodate all 6 of us. The Lanai was amazing on this property, providing beautiful sunset views and a place to peacefully drink morning coffee or grill lunch or dinner right there as well. The beach is a 10 minute walk and very close to the Black Rock for wonderful snorkeling anytime. We used the pool and hot tub as well and enjoyed the quiet grounds. The location, view and a very nice home away from home atmosphere makes this condo an easy choice again and again for any of us. The kitchen was wonderful too!! Everything you need to make easy meals and drinks! We would recommend this condo without question to everyone we know!

This was a very nice property that I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend or family member

  • 5 of 5

This was a very attractive, well maintained property. Our rental unit was clean and well provisioned. The owner was more than accommodating, going out of his way to be helpful. I was there with my wife, two sons, daughter-in-law and two grandsons. Everyone really enjoyed our stay there. The two young boys loved the pool. I much prefer staying at this quiet, attractive property than the busy, large beach side resorts that we overlooked from our balcony.

Complete top of the line remodel in July 2011 with great attention to detail in all areas of the condo. All new cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances in the fully furnished kitchen. All new upscale Hawaiian furniture, art, and furnishings. This two-story unit has the master bedroom suite with a top quality king bed located upstairs, so it affords the greatest privacy from the queen bedroom downstairs plus a sleeper sofa. in the living area. The enclosed area with over 1600 square feet is air conditioned plus 180 square feet lanai. This unit is almost twice the size of many other units in the Ka’anapali area. There are 17 stairs up and no elevator, but the payoff is great golf course, ocean and island views from the lanai and from the large upstairs master bedroom suite. There is an office area with Wi-Fi throughout -- even on the lanai! -- for your computer. First class resort amenities include a swimming pool, pool side BBQ area, and tennis courts .
