A perfect house in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends and I stayed here during out spring break service trip to the Pensacola area. It was about a 40 minute drive to the city of Pensacola depending on traffic. We really enjoyed the benefits of staying right on the beach with the bay area on one side and the gulf on the other. The house was well maintained and the property manager was amazing! She helped us when we had trouble with the wifi even though it was later in the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend this house to other groups staying in the area!

Wonderful vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

I spent 6 days in Navarre Beach at Kate's Kastle with my 2 kids. We had a great time. They both told me they felt like they were home. The house is not as updated as some others in the area but was comfortable and great for us. The access to the beach is awesome. I felt comfortable letting my 11 year old walk back to the house from the beach. We liked that we were close to Pensacola and Destin but were staying in this quiet area that appeared to be very safe. Both of my kids have requested a return trip and I agree. We had a great time hanging out at the beach during the day and hanging out at the house watching movies at night. We took advantage of the grill and searching for seashells. We saw a few dolphin fins, pelicans, seagulls, and crabs. My daughter saw a huge crab at the beach. We recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation in a place that feels like home. Carolyn is wonderful to work with. Hurricane Nate moved in just before our trip and she checked on the status in the area for us since we had heard that there were families from our area that were told to return home from that area. We had an issue with locking ourselves out of the house and she was wonderful in getting us help getting back in. The maintenance man that came to our rescue has no idea how excited we all were to see him. Needless to say my kids made sure a key was with us at all times after that. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing time and for sharing your home with us!!

nice place

  • 5 of 5

This house is nicer than it looks on the outside. The outside needs a little love but the inside has been remodeled and is quite nice. It is very roomy and updated. The downstairs bunkbeds were a little squeaky but all in all, i would recommend this house to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kate's Kastle! Beautiful weather and a gorgeous beach directly across the street from the house...this is our second time renting from Rusty and I just can't say enough about how great he is to work with and I would recommend his rentals to anyone! Carolyn does an awesome job managing his properties and responds quickly to any problems that you may have. I'm looking forward to making more memories in the future with my family at one of his properties!! Thanks again to Rusty and Carolyn for helping us make memories that will last a life time!!

The Worst

  • 1 of 5

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a girls weekend away Sept. 8 - 12, 2016. It was horrible! We arrived to find an old weather beaten, broken down, unsafe house. As we walked in it was apparent that this place was filthy. There is a whole list of things that is wrong with this house. Dirty floors, curtains, windows, cabinets, dead bugs in fridge, towels had hair on them, lights were burned out, scribbled crayon marks on the furniture, I could go on and on. We spent the first morning trying to clean things up a bit. Called the owner to tell her of our dissatisfaction. She offered to send the cleaning company in to clean but we refused thinking they didn't do a good job the first time why would they the second time. We were offered a bit of a rebate on the rental price when our deposit was returned, which we never received. It took two and a half weeks and a text message to the owner to even get our deposit returned. The deck over looking the ocean is in such bad repair with splinters of wood sticking up you cannot go out there with out shoes on. The back deck is filled with mold and the steps are in very bad condition. very unsafe. Needless to say we were very disappointed. We tried to make the best of it and not spend a lot of time there. After killing several spiders and roaches we called it a day and packed it up. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have small children. I do believe the owner has a few other properties on the island but we were not offered to move anywhere else. What a waste of money and vacay time.

Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here, the house is great and very spacious. It is in the absolute perfect location since there are no other houses built in front of it, at times it felt like we were the only ones on the only complaint is that the kitchen table and living room tables have glass tops that come off..these tables are not toddler friendly (we had 2 tots with us). But it worked out and we were able to corral them away from the glass furniture most of the time... but the house is beautiful, booking was simple.. we would love to stay here again:)
