Visited over 4th of July with our two teenage daughters. Very nice ski cabin. Spacious and clean. We enjoyed the foosball table and poker/game table. Full kitchen, microwave, utensils, etc. as well as a grill (we did not use) for making your own meals. TV in living room, number of dvds to watch (a number of them were misplaced from their containers, but were eventually located). Good number of board games, cards. Only 7 or 8 minutes to Lead--great fireworks on the 4th. Beautiful area, close to Deadwood and within an hour to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country, Custer State Park. Overall, a great time. Only small things kept this out of the 5 star rating. No a/c was ok, but no screens on the windows so could not open them without threat of bugs (screens were torn on the sliding deck doors). Small dehumidifier would be good downstairs in the master bedroom (great shower stall though in master bath!). There is no wifi/cable, which might be a problem for some (like our teenagers), not a big deal for us--I think we all played more games together because of it. Would we stay again--Yes!!
The cabin was great for a family with kids and possibly another adult or couple. The poker table and foozball tables were a plus with my kids. The only think we missed was the WiFi.
The cabin interior was fantastic. The down sides were the parking area was all mud, weeds were two foot high. Maybe that is how it is meant to be. But the three hornets nests under the steps and having two people stung multiple times, was terrible. Our daughter in law is extremely alergic to stings.
This was our first whole family vacation, glad we decided to use VRBO. The process was so easy and the cabin was awesome! There was plenty of room and beautiful views.
