Overview

About the property

Incredible views and 4 minutes to Rexburg. You will love this cozy place.

Why pay more for less room and fewer amenities than our 1300 s/f townhouse. You will feel more at home than any other vacation place!

Our Two-Story is waiting to meet your all vacation needs. Whether you are coming to bring your student to school, graduation, a wedding; or to take in Idaho's scenic splendor, our place is the perfect location. We are just outside of Rexburg- - 3 miles north of BYUI, 79 miles south of Yellowstone, 77 miles west of Jackson Hole or just one hour to Grand Targhee Ski Resort. You are also within minutes of pristine fishing along the Teton River, Warm River or Snake River (My wife, Neva can send you to best places to go) :)

This is an attached newly renovated, 2 1/2 bedrooms, 2 bath condo that can sleep 7. We have totally redone the inside of this part of our beautiful farm home that was originally built by the grandfather of my wife, Neva. (It has turned out so nicely, I think he would be very pleased with the result, just like I am sure you will too.)

It has a full kitchen with granite counters. We have service for 8 and all the basic amenities you need if you would like to cook for yourself while you are here. The living area (and Master bedroom) has views looking out toward the Grand Teton mountain range, and has a comfortable seating with a large screen TV with both DirecTV and a DVD player.

The leather couch in the living room and recliner chair sets around a large stone fireplace. A relaxing gathering and eating area.

There is new tile floors and showers in both bathrooms. The master bedroom has a King bed with a brand new pillowtop mattress and 42" TV connected to DirecTv along with a DVD player. The second bedroom has two full beds, and a twin bed in the bonus room. It has a TV and a DVD player.

Wireless internet is included. Plenty of outside parking for trailers and/or RV's. We have a large selection of DVD's in the red cabinet in the hallway just outside the back door. A front loading washer and dryer are for your use as well.

Finally, we have new down pillows throughout the house for your restful sleep.

Reply through this website or call/text Scott at 801.358.8553 for more information. We pride ourselves of having the best value in the southeast Idaho.

* Note: Both bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. There is no elevator and is NOT recommended for older people who may struggle with stairs.

Finally, on our small farm you will get to see our free-roaming chickens that give us fresh eggs daily that we would love to let you try! (If you have young kids they will enjoy chasing and catching them if they can. You will also see our pet ducks and Turkey named Blue. If you look hard you will even see a bunny or two. We have a large new playground set and firepit outside for your use.

We hope to see you soon.

About Scott Telford

Neva and I (Scott) were raised here in this area, We graduated together in Rexburg and were just friends back in high school. (She dated most all of my locker partners). We were blessed to become reacquainted at our class reunion and were married just 5 years ago.I lived up on the hill near the temple, and Neva grew up on this old farm. She had horses, and had to milk and feed cows along with other farm chores everyday.

After her parents passed away, we decided to buy this home and have renovated the whole thing right down to the studs. And made part of it a vacation rental because we loved the idea of inviting guests to this pretty part of Idaho, and also to have when our kids come to visit.

We are so very happy to be back here in Southeast Idaho ourselves! We have so many amazing sites to see, and fun things to do within minutes anytime of the year.

Scott Telford purchased this condo in 2014

Why Scott Telford chose Idaho

We feel we have the BEST value in the area. With so much to offer at a VERY fair price. When we travel ourselves we only use vacation rentals as well. We have tried to integrate all of the great ideas we have seen and experienced and put them into our place. We want people to feel at home and have made it a place we would want to be in ourselves. We hope you love it as we do.

Being just 3 miles out of town we have a true farm feel with chickens and bunnies, and the quietness of the country, yet so very close to all the amenities of Rexburg. (We are just a mile from the new Super Walmart.)

What makes this condo unique

Our place is VERY family friendly. In the spring we have bunnies and chickens for the kids to chase and catch if they want. We have an open fire pit nearby with all of the firewood you need and fold out chairs for you to use.

You are welcome to use our bicycles, sleds and tubes no matter what time of year.

Notes:
You will enjoy our small farm with our bunnies and chickens, and quiet open space. We have great recommendations on things to do and see while here. We are within an hour of some of the most incredible scenery and outdoor adventures. First, we would recommend you visit Yellowstone if you have never been. Even if you you only have one full day drive to Old Faithful, and maybe at least a few other stops in the park. You will love it! If you don't see bears or other animals in Yellowstone, we strongly recommend going to Bear World just 10 minutes south of us. You will be getting up close to the bears as well as buffalo, elk and more. They even have a petting zoo and free kid rides Say "Hi" to Mike, Courtney and Stephanie (from Scott). They are great hosts and love to visit with their guests. We have more ideas if you want-where to eat, or specific things you need in the area. We know Rexburg and the area well, and want to meet your requests! Scott and Neva PS. NOT A.D.A for handicapped

Great Country Living

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been more happy with this rental. We planned on having all of our children with us during the Thanksgiving holiday and it worked out great. When we arrived it didn't look like much, but the inside was beautiful. It is a very updated place and they even thought of the details. They had decorated for the holidays which made it was extra special. The beds were very comfortable and the bath rooms were very updated and nice. It snowed while we were there and they shoveled off the walks for us. it is 3 min from Rexburg, ID and only 1.5 hours from Jackson Hole, WY. Only 45 min from the Grand Tetons. I would stay there again. Thank you for a great trip.

Excellent and charming

  • 5 of 5

Very inviting and welcoming home, friendly and helpful owners. No complaints about the stay they did above and beyond to insure our stay was problem free. One note that there is no bathroom on the downstairs level, was not an issue for us but for those with disabilities it could make it more difficult.

Convenient, quiet country setting. Easy access to Rexburg and a start to the path to Yellowstone.

  • 4 of 5

Owners were accommodating and gracious hosts. The setting was beautiful and convenient to Rexburg. This was a far better stay than a hotel trip. We have 6 kids and never made to feel like we were creating a problem here. Nicely furnished and arranged, and clean.

Our "IdaHome"

  • 5 of 5

We spent Thanksgiving week at the country townhome and we had a wonderful time. The weather was in the 30's most of the time and the townhome was nice and cozy. We lite a nice fire one evening and it warmed up the entire home (upstairs and downstairs). We even cooked our Thanksgiving meal at the home. The location was far enough removed from Rexburg that it was very quiet, but only a 2-4 minute drive from everything we needed (grocery stores, etc...). The bedrooms were nice and comfortable. The bathrooms were well appointed and were large enough for multiple people getting ready at a time. We utilized the laundry room and even the DVD's they had available. The house was well maintained and very clean.

We had fun walking in the yard and enjoying the view and the animals. They had several chickens, bunnies, and cats. The owners of the property were super nice and very attentive to our needs. They have a wonderful property and we loved our stay. We would stay here again.

Perfect Place for our Long Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here over labor day weekend while visiting friends in town. The apartment was perfect with a wonderful master suite and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Scott was the perfect host with great suggestions for places for us to visit in the area where it wouldn't be as crowded being the holiday weekend. The farm setting was relaxing and the one of the kitties was very friendly (we actually had to catch him a couple of times as he really wanted to come inside and visit with us). It is a bit of a drive to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, but reasonable. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.
