My party of 8 stayed at Scott Street for 7 nights in April 2016. This is a great house for a big group. The house has everything you require. Olivia who checked us in was great and very helpful with information. Whilst the house may seem is a little bit out from the city, it is an easy bus ride into town. We walked to Fisherman's wharf which took about 30 minutes to get to Pier 39. If going to Alcatraz, Pier 33 is about 5 minutes from Pier 39 so that is within walking distance as well. Would stay here again if I came back to San Francisco.
we booked this charming home for 6 adults and 4 children. it is in a perfect location. loved the marina market on chestnut street nearby.
home needs some TLC but is lovely. it is advertised as 6 bedrooms but the cellar floor room had no bed just an uncomfortable something and it smelled so musty that we could not use it. this led to some uncomfortable sleeping re arrangements.
if you need just 5 bedrooms this place is pretty perfect.
We had a great time at this spacious single family home in the Marina. Just a few short blocks from Cheatnut street. We hosted a thanksgiving dinner and had plenty of room for the kids. The place came with off street parking for our east bay visitors and with uber the entire city was accessible. We would give this place our highest marks and would be perfect for a family of 5 (3 children undern age 4) and a nanny.
My family and I LOVED the house and its location. My twin girls who are almost 2 years old and my son who is 3 years old loved playing in the backyard and walking to the Palace of Fine Arts everyday to play in their children's area. My husband, parents, and brother loved the fact that everything was in walking distance (grocery store, great restaurants and coffee shops, etc). The home itself was perfect for our family, my Mom who loves to cook, was delighted to have a nicely equipped kitchen, and my Father loved sitting in the backyard reading the paper and enjoying his coffee. There were 9 of us that comfortably stayed in the house. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
This home is in a great neighborhood--an easy walk to the Marina or beyond. It is safe, and there are lots of great restaurants and shopping close by too! Not loud at night; the 30X bus stops right outside the door and the 30 (which takes you to many great points) stops just 4 short blocks away. Many of the properties of this size that I found online were in areas known for nightlife. We wanted a quiet place to recharge for a week of sightseeing. This is IT!! 3 bathrooms a PLUS. Kitchen amply stocked and renovated (though we ate out mostly--it's SAN FRANCISCO!) Great home to rent.
