Our first visit to Treasure Island and Sunset Vista and was not overly impressed. The unit was average and not well cleaned. The master bed spread had a stain on it that was missed by the cleaning crew. The dryer worked but was so clogged with lint, all your clothes came out covered with dust bunnies. There was one blanket, which was for the pullout sofa bed. The Tiki Bar was on the first level of the parking garage. Very small. No hotel night time entertainment like happy hour etc. One bright note, when I called to complain about needing a new bed spread, the property manager returned my call in 5 minutes. I would not stay here again.
We've come to Treasure Island and Sunset Vista many times over the years, most recently in February. Have always had a great time ("A bad day on vacation beats a great day at work."). Itrip staff (Liz) was very helpful and very responsive to questions about check-in, deposit, presence of internet, 2017 costs, etc. Room was clean and highly accessible to the pool, the cafe and, of course, The Shake Shop. We also like that we can walk to John's Pass or into the heart of Treasure Island. Morning walks over the the Isle of Capri are a staple for us so that we can view and dream about the beautiful homes there. We've already booked at Sunset Vista for 2017!
This was our first time to Treasure Island and we fell in love with the area! We traveled with our two children ages 8 and 5 and the unit we stayed in was perfect. The children loved the pool and the beach was just beautiful. The unit was clean and had everything we needed especially in the kitchen (we cooked all meals). We will definitely come again!
This was our second year staying at Sunset Vistas through iTrip. Everything was as represented in the pictures and description. We did have a couple of issues (no linens for hide-a-bed and A/C quit working 2nd day), however Brandon with iTrip was there to resolve the problems within 15 minutes both times (one at 10:00 at night). We love the complex and amenities and will hopefully be back next year. Parking is challenging if you have more than one vehicle but Security is good about helping find a spot. The location is convenient to everything and if you don't have a car you can catch the trolley or a cab out front. This is a perfect family vacation spot. If you're looking for a party you probably want to go further south to St. Pete Beach.
The price seamed too good to be true so I was a little concerned it was a bait and switch. we did some research and decided to book. So glad we did. The pictures of this property were spot on. It was perfect for my family of four. We were able to save a bunch of money by stocking the kitchen. Publix (grocery store) is maybe a mile south of the property. Circle K (convenience store) is directly across the street. There is a little ice cream/milk shake joint right next to to property which we visited with our girls nightly. There were two pool areas, one for small children and one for everyone else. We spent a lot of time at the pool. The beach was literally out the back of the property. Nice thing is you have to pass the tiki bar to get to the beach. John's pass village is walking distance just north of the property. Lots to do there for a family or a couple. My kids loved the pirate boat there. If you like micro brew you should visit Mad beach brewery. Can't say enough good things about this property and the area. If I had to be critical I would say, under amenities on the website they mention BBQ's. FYI there is only one and it is basically in the parking garage. Also, keep in mind we stayed in 210 S. I didn't pay much attention to the "s" until we checked in. "S" stands for south. "W" stands for west. "N" stands for north. This is only important if you want to observe a sunset from your balcony. If that is important to you, make sure you have a "W" or an "N" after your unit number. If we weren't still at the beach for sunset, we would simply walk down to the tiki bar or the beach to watch it. So much to do or not do depending on what type of vacation you want. Highly recommended!
This was our first time to Treasure Island- we found this complex and this unit on line. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The complex was clean and well maintained. The courtyard was inviting. The unit it's self was superb! We had everything we needed ~ the furnishings were beautifully appointed. It was clean & comfortable (though my husband had difficulty sleeping on the hard mattress's). I do have to agree with another reviewer that the parking was tight and a bit difficult. My only other complaint had nothing to do with the unit but rather the pool. There were a very limited number of tables with umbrella's and signs say there is no "reserving" them but that was done on a daily basis. We would go to the pool and see towls and other items on tables and no one was there for long periods of time (hours)... not sure who should be in charge of monitoring that but it's really not fair to guests to have that happening.... it was pretty frustrating. That aside ~ We would defintely return to this unit and this complex.
