The description of this VRBO was very accurate. This property was very clean & well stocked. We enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys that walked through our yard everyday. We also loved how private it was. We would consider staying here again.
We were very pleased with our stay. The house was very clean. And the beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed . Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.
We just loved staying at this home for a few days in June. Our group would split up during the day and explore the Hills and visit with family in the Hills but came back to a relaxing evening with everyone. We loved having our morning coffee on the decks and watching the deer pass through. The kitchen was large enough for more than one cook. The bedrooms are very good size and the beds were very comfortable. One evening we even enjoyed a thunder & lightening show! A rarity where we live. The neighbors are near enough but not too close and we still felt like we were in the woods by ourselves. Perfect parking for 3 cars. We would definitely choose to stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.
3 couples from Wisconsin out for some motorcycle riding. The pictures don't do the place justice, the scenery is gorgeous with deer and turkey that visit daily. Plenty of room to spread out. Circle drive to accommodate trucks with trailers easy in and out. A must eat Black Hills Burger and Bun Company down town Custer. We had carry out cause every night the line for sit down was out the door. We will be back.
The well kept well stocked home was comfortable in every room. The setting outside of Custer was a beautiful landscaped piece of property. We started each day watching the doe and fawns feed just outside the doorways. We have already discussed returning to this property for another trip!
My son, daughter-in-law, grandson and I stayed here for a week and found this rental to be just the place for us. It was a paradise for a 7-year old boy who loved being able to explore the land and the rocks nearby. We all enjoyed watching the deer that came regularly to graze on the property. Sitting quietly on the large deck with a cup of coffee while "Lisa" and her fawns, "Zippy" and "Cookie" and another doe, "Rose" ambled around was the greatest way to start the day. My grandson named the regular deer. The fact that we had to start out with jackets because of the wonderful coolness was a plus. The cabin itself was very comfortable for us and everything we needed was provided. We could easily have stayed for longer than the week we did. I would definitely rent this place again.
My daughter-in-law walked/ran the 2.5 miles into Custer several mornings. We enjoyed Custer itself, especially the Sage Grille, the Buglin' Bull Restaurant, and the Purple Pie Place - best rhubarb pie I've had since my own mother's decades ago! This location is so convenient to all of the southern Hills - Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Hill City, Reptile Gardens and Bear Country, Wind Cave, and especially all of Custer State Park. I recommend the Blue Bell Lodge for breakfast. The Wildlife Loop is great and we did that about six times.
My grandson caught, and released, several trout in French Creek.
