Location, Location, Location. The Woodley park neighborhood is one the most sought after locations for its upscale houses, beautiful streets and its convenience. You really do not need a car to get around from here since the metro and the bus are about a half a block away. You can walk to the DuPont Circle, Downtown, the White House and the Mall. The Zoo is of course a block away. There are plenty of restaurants around the corner from the house where you can taste some of the best foods DC has to offer. The Hot and Juicy a shrimp and Craw-fish restaurant which is open late, the Lebanese Taverna, Le Pettit Plat a french restaurant, Pizze, an Italian Pizzeria, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, an Indian cuisine, an Afghan Kabab restaurant around the corner on Calvert and a Chipotle just to name a few. There is also a convenient grocery store 'Manhattan Market' as well as a CVS pharmacy within a block from here.
This is a fully renovated 5 bedroom house. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with Queen and one with King beds, a daybed with 2 twin mattresses, and two bathrooms upstairs. One of the bathrooms has a tub, the other a standing shower which is a En-Suite to one of the rooms.
The first floor is where the living room, dining room and the kitchen are, plus a half bath in one location and a shower in another. The shower and the half baths are separate. There is a 2 car parking in the back on that level (There is a charge for parking).

The redhead next to me is my wife Ana.
We have 2 daughters who are grown and are on their own ( not really, if you are a parent you know) and a 14 pound Schnoodle ( he thinks he is a giant). We have been living in the DC metro area for about 36 years and absolutely love it. Washington DC is a beautiful city, it really is and for people coming here to spend their vacations or attend conferences, weddings, funerals (The Arlington Cemetery), graduations, sight seeing, festivals etc. etc. there isn't any city that offers so much.
I manage the properties and Ana tells me what to do (!!!) We are a great team and enjoy doing what we do.
Allen purchased this apartment in 2012
This apartment is practically brand new. We gutted it out and redid the whole thing in 2012.
Walking to The convention Center and a bit further to the White House and the museums and all the memorials and the Mall.
We are a party of 9 older adults who just stayed for six nights. The metro was within easy walking distance as well as multiple restaurants and a small market. The property manager is very professional and responds quickly to emails or texts. The only reason for 4 stars is the beds are a little firm and the wood floors squeak, which was disturbing to our light sleepers. I would stay here again as it has a real homey feeling which is relaxing after a long day. Only one TV, which is in the living room. This may be a consideration for families with kids.
House is in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants near by. We had eight adults and two children and had plenty of room and hot water for everyone.
The location really is the selling point of this home. It is a very short walk to the Woodley Park Zoo Metro Stop on the Red Line. We could be at nearly all the main DC attractions within about 30 minutes. The zoo is walking distance from this home. The home itself is located on a quiet residential street, but it is a block away from dozens of restaurants. We preferred to go visiting sights during the day and have dinner at home each night - there were many more take out options than we could have used in a month. We tried Afghan food, Chinese food, Italian Food, southern food, and a cafe, all within a block of this home.
The home itself is three stories. It would not be ideal for people who struggle with stairs, as the only sleeping option on the main floor is a pull out couch in the main living area. Stairs are also required to enter the property in the front. There are three bedrooms on the upper level and two more on the lower. Additionally, there is an anteroom to one of the upstairs bedrooms that has a daybed and trundle bed. Be aware, if you use the trundle, the access to the bedroom is very narrow. We slept 11 people very comfortably.
The home is very clean, and the provided linens and towels are nice.
We spent a week in DC and would love to come back for another week. We would absolutely stay in this house again.
We were in DC for a memorial service and there were nine of us (adults) staying in the house. It was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was easy to work in and well stocked. The dining area and living room were large and comfortable allowing us all to visit and spend time with each other. The home was in a nice, quiet neighborhood with restaurants, and liquor and grocery stores right around the corner on the next block. The location was convenient for sight seeing using Uber and public transportation. The owner, Allen was a pleasure to work with and always responded promptly to any questions we had. He was very accommodating and we appreciated that he offered us some flexibility with our arrangements. We would love to visit DC again and if we did so with a larger group we would definitely come back to stay in this beautiful home. Thank you Allen!

This house was ideal for our group of 14 to spend time together after a family wedding. It is simply furnished but has everything you need. All beds are doubles and the living/dining space is large enough for everyone to gather. Where this property excels though is in its location; it is in a beautiful leafy lane only a short walk from a high street with stores and restaurants (Open City was our favorite). Also on the high street is a metro station that gets you to the National Mall in 15 minutes and the entrance to the Zoo is only a 10 minute walk away. The owner Allen was always very helpful though once we were there everything worked and was self explanatory. Highly recommend this property for large groups looking to explore the museums, the monuments (evening by bike!) and zoo.
