|Space||600 sq. ft.|
|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
The property is located in an upstairs private apartment, roughly 600 sq ft with full bathroom and master bedroom. Kitchen attachment includes sink, refrigerator, toaster over, microwave, fully-stocked Keurig machine, dishware, and table for 2. The living room is situated with a beautiful view of the ocean and includes a sectional couch with coffee table, and HD TV with Netflix and Amazon Instant Video included. Outside your living room is an attached deck with lounge chairs and side table. The private beach is your own water access, and gives you the freedom to use the property's included tandem kayak and plethora of scuba and snorkeling gear. Just a few meters from the ocean, you can enjoy the beauty of the easterly sunrise and the power of the famous Hawaii surf from the comfort of you own living room.
Stacie and Mike were both wonderfully gracious hosts. Their property was exactly as represented on the website. The ocean view is amazing from their deck. It is ideal for 2 guests.
Seeing the sunrise over the water each morning and hearing the waves crash on the seawall was wonderful. The location is 10-20 minutes from North Shore beaches (depending on road work) and close to grocery stores and a variety of restaurants.
There was a schedule mix up so we had to wait 3 hours to settle in - a bad way to start. But eventually "Hawaii" settled in and we enjoyed the stay.
We managed to cook most of our meals but it is not a convenient set up.
Michael and Stacey were nice and provided money for a meal out because of the check-in snafu.
The unit was not as clean as we would have liked - but that may be the result of life on the water. During the only 2 hot days the AC failed (I know they are fixing the problem) but we were loaned a fan.
We loved our stay here and the owners were incredibly helpful and available for all of our questions and needs. The space was great and the views were stunning. The north shore of Oahu has a laid back vibe and the house is in a perfect location. The house is spacious for 2 people and is a bit rustic. The bed is comfortable and the amenities are adequate for simple food prep needs. There is full size refrigerator but the hot plate is a challenge and anything hot (more than toast for breakfast) is not doable. The reason that I am not giving this great spot 5 stars is that this living space is a bit tired and the towels starting to wear. If you have any difficulty with mobility the shower will be impossible for you to navigate as you need to climb over this knee high ledge to get into the shower. All in all, a great stay.. Thank you for the hospitality.
The view from the balcony is incredible. It is worth the price of the rental alone. We pretty much only slept in the apartment and then drank our morning coffee on the balcony before leaving for beaching/hiking/eating each day, however it could not have been a more perfect home base. The rental was painless and the property is exactly as advertised. I cannot think of anything I could complain about and would definitely stay here again. If you want a quiet place to stay and don't mind spending some time in the car to get back to honolulu or up to haleiwa and the north shore beaches, this is a pretty solid spot. Also it is like 10 min from the Polynesian Cultural Center and 15 min from Kualoa ranch.
We enjoyed the house. We didn't spend a ton of team here but the view is amazing. The house itself is old but it's been well kept. The people we rented from couldn't have been nicer. They gave us a list of all kinds of things to do on the North Shore. If we visit Oahu again we will be staying here.
Our son and his girlfriend stayed at this apartment and had a wonderful time. Right on the water, amazing views and very comfortable they said. Stacie and Michael responded quickly and very easy to deal with.
My husband an I stayed here Nov 16-19 prior to taking the NLC's Pride of America cruise around the Islands. We loved the setting right on the ocean--the property is a bit rough around the edges, however the location is spectacular. The bed was comfortable--the shower huge! We used provided good snorkel gear each day, along with the beach mats and towels. There is a Kayak on property of guest use; my husband wanted to but decided against it as the surf was a bit rough the days we were at the rental. The kitchen serves the needs of easy breakfasts and pic-nick lunches. It is a short drive up the coast to North Shore beaches, down the coast to great hiking, the Polynesian Cultural Center is just a 10 minute drive up the coast--a great place to explore and learn about the Polynesians of the islands of the south pacific including the Hawaiian.
You can't beat the view, ocean breezes blowing through the property--we will return on future trips.

Consider Hau'ula a stepping stone between Honolulu and the North Shore. Nestled between the Sacred Falls Mountains and the east coast fringing reef, it gives you the feel of country living while still providing all the comforts of local food vendors and necessary shopping. Located on the Kamehameha Highway, it is within a short drive or walk from numerous hiking trails and public beaches, so there is always something to do even when time is of the essence. Just south of Hau'ula, you will pass the famous Kahana Bay, which boasts some of the best hiking on the east side of the island along with Kualoa Ranch, a beautiful stop for anyone with a yearning for atv and horseback riding. Also, at just a quick, 5-minute drive from Laie, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the Hawaii-BYU campus, Hau'ula finds itself to be conveniently located for all your travel needs.
