Great little place to call home for a week. Not set up well for cooking meals. But still a nice little place right on the ocean. Wonderful view of sunrise over the ocean.
Amazing property, beautiful views!
My 4 night stay was wonderful. The unit had the most amazing view and could not be any closer to the water! The house was clean and very comfortable to stay in, stocked with every essential you could think of. Decorated very nicely with beautiful artwork and felt very inviting. Loved the balcony for my morning coffee and watching the sunrise. So very close to the ocean you can feel the spray of the water. The homeowners were very lovely and made themselves available if I needed anything (which I did not). I stayed by myself and felt very safe. There is a bus stop directly in front of the house which made it very convenient to access all the North Shore had to offer. No beach swimming here but that was fine as there are many places very close either a short walk or bus ride to get to. I did not cook at all during my stay but could have seeing as the homeowners did have all cooking essentials. The value of the unit was very fair and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean traditional Hawaiian feel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you!! 🌺
Incredible view. What a lovely spot to stay. We enjoyed the lanai right on the ocean. Easy access to all of the North Shore favorites. Highly recommend.
Great view nice owners over all experience was great
In short, it was not quite what we thought.
We were not real happy with the bed. It was kind of hard and there wasn't enough pillows. We had hoped to be able to spend a little bit of time on the small beach in the back of the house that shows in the pictures, however, the beach was underwater. I don't know if it's a matter of the time of year or what, but the beach was simply not there. The window sills, particularly in the bathroom, had these little minuscule Nats crawling around them. They didn't seem to get all over the rest of the house but it was a little leery watching them crawl around in the bathroom. The house was located in an absolutely beautiful setting. We enjoyed watching sunrises every morning and it was convenient to many beaches and restaurants and activities which we were there to enjoy. All in all it was a good base camp for us. In retrospect, next time we come we may look for a little bit nicer place, although I know we may have to pay more to get that.
Just book this one...
This is such a great location and property. You can't go wrong. Love the key less entry (note...hold down right at the number so you can get in) so you don't have to coordinate anything. Just arrive and "check - in."
Owners are really nice and nearby if you need anything. The view is even better than the pics demonstrate. Great to have the water toys available and your own area to enjoy.
Consider Hau'ula a stepping stone between Honolulu and the North Shore. Nestled between the Sacred Falls Mountains and the east coast fringing reef, it gives you the feel of country living while still providing all the comforts of local food vendors and necessary shopping. Located on the Kamehameha Highway, it is within a short drive or walk from numerous hiking trails and public beaches, so there is always something to do even when time is of the essence. Just south of Hau'ula, you will pass the famous Kahana Bay, which boasts some of the best hiking on the east side of the island along with Kualoa Ranch, a beautiful stop for anyone with a yearning for atv and horseback riding. Also, at just a quick, 5-minute drive from Laie, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the Hawaii-BYU campus, Hau'ula finds itself to be conveniently located for all your travel needs.
