The perfect relaxing getaway!
This early 1900's cottage has been tenderly and tastefully restored creating a private and captivating retreat for you and your loved one. You'll sense the effort to anticipate your requirements for a memorable and replenishing stay, including a bottle of wine and chocolate inviting a toast to ''your'' stay.
Front and rear decks surrounded by ancient oaks and pine plus a charming flower garden enhance the ambiance of this very private cottage.
The crisp ocean air will greet you morning and evening. All your senses will be heightened as you listen to the distant bark of seals and crashing waves. Deer walk through your front yard along with racoons, squirrel, wild turkey, and the ever darling covey of quail. A myriad birds alone provide hours of entertainment.
Enjoy the king size bed, and cozy gas fireplace after a day of exploring.
Walk night or day to the ocean and hunt for wildlife in the tide pools where you can sit and watch the otters, humpback whales, and dolphins (seasonal). Bring your comfy shoes - it is uphill on the way back but it's worth it!
If you must work we have hi speed internet and telephone.
The satellite TV offers nearly all the premium channels and we stock the cottage with everything you'll need. If you forget something, the quaint village of Cambria is just a 5 minute drive.
One note for our tall guests. This cottage was built around 1907 and some tall guests (over 6'1) may have to duck through doorways. For the comfort of all our guests there is no smoking in or around the unit.

This was a great place for a mother-daughter getaway. The three of us each had a little private sleeping area and nice common spaces for spending time together. The deck was peaceful and sunny, and we enjoyed the fireplace and seating area watching movies in the evenings. Cambria is a cute little town close by; transportation is definitely needed to access services. It was a nice central location for the beaches and attractions in the area. We'd come back in a minute!
Our 3rd visit was as wonderful as the prior visits. Charming, cozy space on two floors, a heavenly bed in a cave-like cool master bedroom, and all the conveniences of home. Thank you for sharing the cottage with us again! We are already discussing when we want to come back!
Enjoyed the cottage very much. It rained during our stay, and waking up to the sound of the falling rain in the extremely comfortable and cozy bedroom was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. Sat on the deck out front in the late afternoon and watched the deer roam the neighborhood. If there is a criticism, the cottage is a bit "full" for my taste. I prefer a little more open space, and too many of the drawers are occupied rather than left empty for the guests. But these are nit-picks. Definitely, highly recommended.
We stayed three nights in this delightful cottage a few minutes drive from downtown Cambria. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood - deer and wild turkeys roam around the site and you can see stars at night. You can walk down to the beach in 15 minutes and access the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve trail.
The house is spacious, on two levels with the kitchen and bathroom upstairs and living room and bedroom downstairs. Everything was very clean, décor and furnishings are tasteful, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. There's a big TV, a great selection of DVDs and an outdoor deck. We appreciated the WIFI as we couldn't get any T Mobile cellphone service in the area.
We enjoyed the walks on the beach, the beautiful sunsets, good restaurants and lovely art and craft galleries in East Cambria. People in the stores were very friendly and shared information about the history and recent changes in the area as it's becoming an increasingly popular tourist and retirement destination.
We would definitely stay in the house again. You can tell that the owner wants her guests to be comfortable and enjoy her cottage! Thanks so much for the great hospitality.
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the cottage and found it be very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you needed to prepare a meal. It was very sweet that a bottle of wine was provided. We loved the spacious deck to relax on. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed 3 good nights of sleep. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and there were ample movies, music and games to keep you entertained if you wanted. We loved our stay there. Thank you Sharon.
