|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
The very light 36m2-apartment is situated in the historical district of Hernals, just between Josefstadt (10 min. walk away) and Brunnenmarkt or Yppenplatz (5 min.), both famous for their Cafés and night locals, and the latter also for its market. Also the City Hall (Stadthalle), the venue of many concerts and of the Eurovision Songcontest 2105 is located only 1,8km from the apartment and can be reached within 5 min. by car (10 min. by the underground, or 25 min. of walk).
The apartment, on the second floor, consists of a living-/sleepingroom (23m2), a hallway and kitchen, and a showerroom and wc, and the furniture - fitting to the year of construction of the house (before 1900) - is with some exceptions original art nouveau and old german style (altdeutsch). The apartment, in the daytime very light and at night because of the specially for that sake situated lamps very relaxing and pleasent, invites the guests to have a longer time indoors.
In the room there is a double bed, and a further bed can be provided for a third guest. The kitchen disposes of a refrigerator, gas stove, an automatic coffee- and teamachine and the appropriate dishes.
Wlan is available.
A few steps from the house there are 2 supermarkets (2 & 3 min.), 1 Bakery (2 min.), 1 Tobaccoshop (2 min.), 2 Cafés (2 min.), several fastfood facilities (2 min.). In 2 min. of walk away there are also underground and tram stations by which one is in the inner city within 7-8 min. (or in 20 min. of walk).
As the apartment is used partly as a private office, it is not rented all the time, which means that we can offer very flexible check- in and check-out times (mostly possible from 8 am on and till 6 pm respectively).
The host family lives on the third floor of the same house and speaks five languages: English, german, italian, spanish and turkish.
Apart from the apartment we have the following offers:
- "The Third Man"-tour;
- Old viennese Cafés;
- Coach-service (meaning horse-drawn carriages);
- Secondhandshops and antique shops, flea markets;
- Vienna of the nazi-time (german-austrian resistance, stumbling blocks, jewish museum, city walks)

A nice little flat conveniently located near Ubahn, streetcar lines, and good cafes. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with breakfast provisions. A great home base to explore Vienna from.
The apartment is in a residential area with many bars and coffeehouses. Plenty of character, the apartment is beautiful, spacious and decorated with art nouveau / old german furniture and plants. The apartment is very bright, has high ceilings, and a very comfortable - new - bed. A perfect choice to see the city in the eyes of a local and the beauty it has to offer. Only a short walk to the transports, and short walk / tram ride into the city centre. The hosts, Ines and Gökhan, are very helpful, whenever one needs help or information. The only negative thing about it is that it is on the second floor with no lift.
Many cafes, bars, restaurants nearby, rural and city market (Brunnenmarkt), tram and metro-stations within 2-3 minutes of walk (the line 43, 44 and U6), 3 major universities in 10, 15, 25 minutes of walk, 2 big parks in 10 resp. 25 minutes of walk (1 of them being the biggest in Vienna - the Türkenschanzpark), 1 closed swimmingpool (5 min.), the city centre in 15-20 min. of walk or 5-6 min. by tram, 2 theatres - Volkstheater and Theater an der Josefstadt (2-3 resp. 10 min. by underground), the major concert venue Wiener Stadthalle (5 min. by underground)
