Hi! I’m Rachael. Austin has been my home for 8 years. I absolutely love it here. I grew up in Alabama and moved here with my husband after spending several years in New York. I love to read books and waste time on Reddit. I also love swimming in Deep Eddy with my kids and sweeping up hair from our two sweet dogs. ☺
Rachael Herndon-Prine purchased this bungalow in 2014
This home is on a quiet street in the heart of the city. It's so nice to have a fun night out followed by a peaceful sleep. I love the corner lot and the gorgeous views of the historic State Cemetery across the street. Plenty of open space and old-growth trees.
You just can't find a home with a better location. Just pull in, park you car, and walk everywhere you want to go! Saves so much time and hassle. The neighborhood is safe and artsy. This house is best described and clean and comfortable.
I had the pleasure of staying at this house with some family for Memorial Day weekend. There were 5 adults that stayed in the house, and all of us were extremely happy with it! It was more than comfortable for us and Rachel was an absolute dream of a host. She was very helpful, responsive and unbelievably hospitable! When we arrived the house was cleaner than a hotel room and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities needed to cook. The house is large, clean and very comfortable. The location could not have been more perfect, as you're within close walking distance (only 2 blocks) from some of the best restaurants in east Austin as well as some great bars. Just a very short cab ride to all the happenings on 6th street (you could even easily walk to 6th street/downtown area if you wanted). But yet you are far enough out of the all the noise and hussle. I was beyond impressed with this property and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone staying in Austin!
This house was cute and clean with a modern touch to the furnishings. The owner was easy to contact, and quick to respond, and she even left Andes mints on our pillows. The king bed was a foam mattress and comfortable. Our entire party was pleased with the home. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a family reunion, and this house was perfect! The pictures are a great representation, and this house is SPOTLESS! We had 7 people and a dog, and we fit just fine. Great location - we parked and didn't drive again the whole time. Owners were prompt in responding, very friendly, and accommodating. I would totally stay here again, ah, if only we were able to have another reunion. One can hope. ;) Oh, and the beautiful, huge cemetery across the street was a huge plus;, we had a nice walk through it after a beautiful sunrise. Overall, two thumbs up!
Wonderful up to date house in a convenient location! Rachel was so accommodating and quick to respond! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We stayed in this cute little house for a bachelorette party. Really close to downtown and amenities yet was a quiet comfy neighborhood. House was well stocked and very clean and cozy.
I booked this ADORABLE house for a bachelorette party and we absolutely loved it!! It is so well decorated. Simple and understated and still so charming!! The owners were absolutely great to work with, very kind and accommodating. They even left cute chocolate mints on the pillows! For our bachelorette party we planned a surprise photo shoot for the bride to be and because the house was so cute, we did half of the shoot inside and out front of the house and the pictures turned out great! The house is conveniently located to downtown and uber cars were able to be at the house to pic us up within minutes! I'm saving this location for the next time I'm headed to Austin. This will be my Austin place for sure!
This home is on a corner lot directly across front he Texas State Cemetery. You will be only a few blocks away from all of the popular East Austin venues, and 6th street in Downtown Austin. If you visit during SXSW you will be in the heart of the action.
