Josh Robinson-White purchased this house in 1952

From the start of inquiry to the time we departed, Josh was nothing short of kind, flexible, and genuine. We learned that his house belonged to his grandparents and that we were his first ever renters. We were honored and had promised to take care of his house as if it were our home. Speaking of "home" it was very clear that throughout our stay, we became attentive to the family memories that could be seen throughout the house. From what looked like 1950's binoculars, to history and art books, China and silverware that most likely held memories of many celebrations, an enormous slider that posed quirks of old age and a front door which was a split top/bottom (barn door)----the house became our home for several days.
We spent mornings in the sunroom, breakfast on the outside patio, laying in the hammock, and several cuddle moments on the dock during dusk. Watching sailers wave at us, seeing the ferry travel back and forth, making friends with the neighborhood cat, and enjoying a BBQ dinner prepared on the provided grill resulted in ease, relaxation and a fulfilled vacation. It was clear we made the right choice.
The kitchen was more than equipped with necessary cookware and dinnerware. Stocked with towels, toilet paper, soaps, sheets, pillows and blankets, we never ran out of anything. The views from several rooms were spectacular and unlike any other. A master bathroom, a pleasant upgraded shower in the basement, a large flat panel TV, and AC units in bedrooms suited our needs well. The residential street was quiet and allowed for ample parking. The backyard was private and the beach area seemed to be ours for the taking! Only steps away from clean and refreshing water. We wish Josh and his family the very best and hope that our review encourages and empowers YOU to book this house!
We're torn about posting a review that actually reflects our experience. We're selfishly afraid of losing a spot next year. But in the spirit of generosity here goes: a totally charming, cozy, comfortable home perched above the beach. The views from this house (almost all rooms!) simply can not be beat. Plus you have the added convenience of being just a mile from town. The swimming is perfect and the owner could not be more accommodating and helpful. We've rented dozens of homes on the cape and on the island and this one is just gold. Ok, that's the selfless review. Selfish ending: please, Josh, leave us a couple of prime weeks for ourselves next summer!
