Newly Refurbished & Redecorated - Shimmering Frozen Room with Special Lighting

Welcome to Mini Mouse Pad, our new 2 bedroom 2 bath 1121 sq. ft. condo in Windsor Hills Resort.  Mini Mouse Pad has been completely refurbished with new porcelain tile floors, paint, furnishings and decor, and features a sparkling, shimmering 'Frozen' room with special lighting that will delight young and old alike.  It is on the ground floor, so no waiting for the elevators. Both handicapped and regular parking are just steps from our entrance.  The pool and clubhouse area are diagonally across the street from Mini Mouse Pad and are a 2 minute or less walk on sidewalks through landscaped grounds from our building entrance.  

Windsor Hills is a gated resort with a double Olympic-sized heated lagoon-style zero entry area pool with a two-story spiral water slide, a children’s water play area with dancing waters fountains, and a secluded hot tub area.  There are lighted tennis, basketball and volleyball courts as well as a fully equipped fitness center, a movie theater with free guest-selected movies, game room, outdoor grills, putting green, and two children’s playgrounds.  Windsor Hills is the closest resort to the Disney main entrance.   Disney's main entrance on World Drive is only two right turns and two miles from Windsor Hills.   Driving time to the various Disney parks varies from about 7-12 minutes from Windsor Hills, depending on the park being visited.

 

Mini Mouse Pad has been completely redecorated and updated throughout.  As the pictures show, both baths have been remodeled  with new cabinets, granite counter tops, mirrors and light fixtures.  All furniture has been fitted with glass tops, so no worries about damaging furniture and table tops.

The living room features a new 55" HD TV with a blu-ray player and comfortable leather furniture.  There are also 32" HD TVs with blu-ray players both bedrooms as well as new mattresses, ceiling fans, window treatments, and bed and bath linens.  In addition to cable TV with multiple HD channels, we also provide a secure high speed wi-fi connection, and phone with free long distance calls to the US and Canada.

 

The master BR features a queen bed and a private ensuite bath.  The Frozen room features two identical full-sized beds, and can sleep up to four.  A Mickey-themed bath with a full-sized tub and a hand held shower is shared by the main living area and the Frozen room.  

The unit will sleep up to 6 guests.  (We also own a 3 BR 2BA unit across the hall  that will accommodate up to 8 more guests.)  A Pack 'n Play ( 2 sheets included), full-sized stroller, umbrella stroller, and high chair are furnished for our younger guests.  We also furnish beach towels for use at the pool, as well as two hairdryers, an iron, a table-top ironing board, and a selection of children's games.

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including refrigerator/freezer, stove and oven, microwave, and dishwasher.  Small appliances include programmable coffee maker, toaster, blender, and electric can opener.   There are plenty of cooking utensils, cookware, bakeware, flatware, glassware (including wine glasses), and kitchen linens to prepare and serve light meals and snacks for up to 6.  Additionally, Mini Mouse Pad has a large capacity washer and dryer in the unit available for your use. 

One of the nicest features of this ground floor unit is the lovely screened lanai area which features cushioned wicker furniture with seating for 3 and a small wicker glass-topped table.  The lanai faces east, so it is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of morning coffee with filtered sunshine.  After mid to late morning, the lanai is shaded, and is a wonderful place to enjoy some afternoon reading in a shaded cozy spot outside.   As the pictures show, there is a sidewalk and parking just outside of the lanai, so this location is great for bringing in groceries and supplies.

About Carolyn Hudson

Carolyn & Charles Hudson - We live in Birmingham, Alabama. We are originally from Mississippi and are graduates of Ole Miss where we met in the Ole Miss Band many years ago. Birmingham has been home for over 37 years. We are the parents of 5 adult children, and we now have LOTS of grandchildren. :o)

We cherish the memories we made on family trips to the Orlando area when our children were small. Now that they have their own families, they enjoy bringing their children to the same theme parks they enjoyed as children.

Two of our daughters worked as musical performers at Disney both in California and Florida, so even after our children were grown, we made many trips to Disney to see their shows. We have stayed in most of the Disney properties and some private rental properties over the years. Once we 'discovered' Windsor Hills, we never stayed anywhere else! It simply could not be beat for facilities and convenience.

In 2012 we decided to buy a condo in Windsor Hills because we wanted to have a place available to bring our grandchildren. Because our family kept expanding with new grandchildren, we found we needed more room, so we purchased an additional unit in 2013.

With owning two units and managing them ourselves, we found that refurbishing the units offered a creative outlet and managing them was somewhat like a part-time job. Approaching retirement age, we decided that managing additional units would be a suitable job for two retirees.

With the opening of this unit, we will now own and manage a total of 5 units in Windsor Hills. Two are side-by-side on the second floor in the building by the pool, another unit is one story above on the 3rd floor, and two are across the hall from each other on the first floor of the building which is diagonally across the street from the pool. Having two sets of two units next to each other gives us flexibility for bringing our family to the area, no matter what size group can come with us.

Why Carolyn Hudson chose Disney / Orlando

We were originally interested in this unit because of several reasons: We already owned the unit across the hall, so this unit was a good choice for us so more members of our family could travel with us. While we like time together, we also like to have individual accommodations for different families.

We love the first floor convenience. The elevators at Windsor Hills are conveniently located and are fast, but it is an extra convenience simply to walk into the unit without having to use the elevator.

This location is close to the pool and clubhouse area. Our building is diagonally across the street from the pool/clubhouse. It is a 1-2 minute walk/stroll on sidewalks through landscaped grounds to the pool.

What makes this condo unique

We were originally interested in this unit because it was across the hall from a unit we already owned. When we saw it, we knew this one offered some unique benefits.

The main feature we love is the lovely screened lanai. The lanai is surrounded by some very nice Windsor Hills landscaping, and it faces east. There is nice filtered sunshine in the morning and it makes a nice spot for a lesiurely cup of coffee if you are not racing off the the parks for the day. The wicker loveseat, chair, and glass-topped table make the lanai a perfect little outdoor sitting room for 2-3 people.

After mid morning, the lanai is shaded and it makes a great spot for some reading in the afternoon and late evening. The shrubbery on either side gives it a cozy, enclosed feeling, and there always seems to be a nice breeze there in the afternoons and evenings. Also in the pictures you can see my car parked just outside the lanai. This is GREAT for bringing in groceries, etc. Just a few steps from the parking to the entrance through the lanai.

I think one other somewhat unique benefit is a little brown lizard that always appears in the mornings on the lanai. I stayed in this unit for over a week decorating and setting up after the contractors left. As soon as I would sit on the lanai love seat, in about 5 minutes this little brown lizard would always quietly appear on the opposite arm of the love seat. He would take his position in the sun and we would watch each other quietly. When I went inside, he would stay until the area became shaded and then he would quietly disappear.

A condo with a pet lizard is a VERY unique benefit! If you do not wish to share the lanai, with this little guy, simply make some noise and he will disappear. He is a shy, gentle little soul & will not harm you. He only wants to enjoy his little spot of sunshine every morning, & he will happily share his space with you if you are very quiet and move slowly. :o)

Master bedroom features soft, relaxing pastel walls, new 52" ceiling fan, new bedding and window treatments, walk-in closet with lots of extra storage for luggage and personal items, 32" HD wall-mounted TV, dual night stands and lamps, and alarm clock. Frozen bedroom also features all new furniture, mattresses, bedding, window treatments, 52" ceiling fan, new 32" HD TV and blu-ray player, and a walk-in closet with extra storage. Sparkle and shimmer abound in this room with custom sequined draperies and decorative pillows, and glass-covered irridescent holographic furniture tops. Additionally, all walls are glazed with irridescent glitter, & multiple glittered snowflakes seem to fall from the sky. Icicle lights surround the ceiling perimeter, & a giant lighted blue and white snowkflake adorns the wall between the two full beds. All special lighting can be dimmed to create magical effects or can be turned off completely.

Better than I expected

This is a vey good place and it is exactly the same images of the house of the ones you show, it is located near the parks and the owners quickly answer the mail to clarify all your doubts. Thanks to the prompt response we could enjoy a vacation, we would definitely rent this place with you again because we know that we can trust these owners

Perfect Family Getaway!!

This was my first time renting a place to stay other than a hotel room. After visiting this property I wont go back to a hotel again... and if I'm ever in the FL area we will rent this exact condo again and again!! This condo was exactly what is shown. Neat, clean, lots of room for the kids and adults. Having the washer was a plus too! We enjoyed the pool and the entire complex. The owner was amazing to work with and very detailed and helpful! I felt like she really cared about my vacation and did everything she could to make it great!!

Magical Disney Vacay 😄

This condo had everything we wanted and more! The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. It was clean and located on the ground level, so no issue with stairs. Very quiet at night.

Our favorite part was the Frozen room. My daughter didn't want to leave. Carolyn was so friendly and her attention to detail was appreciated. There was a footstool in the bathroom, hand held shower, & a stroller. She even supplied extra trash bags, hand towels & cleaning supplies. It made our visit to Disney even more magical. We'd definitely stay here again.

We loved he properties this is the second time we have stayed there

Windsor Hills is the closest community vacation resort to Disney (only 2 miles) and is located for easy access to other area attractions including Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens, Wet-N-Wild, Arabian Knights, Medieval Times Dinner Show, Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, and Dixie Stampede. Rates subject to change until reservation is confirmed. This is a non smoking unit and pets are not allowed. Standard check in time is 4 pm and standard check out time is 10 am. A full deposit refund will be given on all cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS:
Cancellation policy: Booking may be canceled at any time up to or during the Rental Period. In the event that the Guest exercises the right to cancel, the following cancellation penalty rates will be applied:
Cancellation more than 60 days prior to arrival date, no penalty
60 to 29 days prior to arrival date, $200 deposit is forfeited
28 to15 days prior to arrival date, 50% of Total Rental Fee is forfeited
14-8 days prior to arrival date, 75% of Total Rental Fee is forfeited
7 days or less prior to arrival date, 100% of Total Rental Fee is forfeited
- Cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival during holiday periods are subject to a penalty of 100%
of the Total Rental Fee.

It is not the intention of Parkhopper Properties to benefit financially from a cancellation. If the canceled dates can be re-booked and the funds received from re-booking these dates plus the forfeited funds are greater than the amount of the original rental cost, the excess funds will be returned to the original guest minus a $50 changeover fee.

All Cancellations must be received in writing. The Guest is reserving a specific property for a specific date. If the dates or the property are changed, the cancellation policy would apply. If the length of the stay is reduced, the cancellation policy would apply to the canceled nights. We regret that we cannot waive any of the above cancellation charges for any reason. Please consider travel insurance in the event weather related situations or sudden illnesses or emergencies occur.
