Our overall experience was very good. Beautiful, clean cabin off of a main road that is a bit in the country. The only real negatives were the spotty wi-fi and lack of local content on the Dish, but, it was nice for being in the country, where cable TV does not exist. We would rent the cabin again in a heartbeat.
This property was ok but not special. The garage had a dented door and broken window to greet us upon arrival. The storm door on the main enterance was falling apart and the broken piece was laying on the ground. These two issues did not affect our stay but did give a less than great first impression. It was super difficult to find light switches. There is no door on the main bathroom downstairs which is off the dining room. That was a bit of an issue. The stairs going to the bedrooms on the second floor are very narrow and we had to be very careful going up and down. All in all, we liked the rental, but would not stay there again if on the area. The Evolve team that represented this property gave us outstanding service throughout our booking and after arrival. I highly recommend using Evolve!
Really enjoyed the stay in St. Albans. Its a great area. The house was perfect and had everything. Spoke with the owner and with short notice I was able to extend my stay with no problem. Thank you Mike. I will definitely be contacting you again next year.
Had a great stay in St. Albans. Was able to get some friends together for my wife's birthday and everyone really enjoyed their stay. Clean and has everything you could need. Had a few questions before check in and the owner was very helpful. Would certainly consider staying again.
Great stay in St. Albans. I needed a place to stay for some clients who came in for a few days.
The cabin was as described, no smells, everything was clean and comfortable, and nothing but praises from my clients!.
We had 3 families (10 total people) stay for a week in early July. It was hot outside, but the house stayed comfortable. We ran the window AC units at night (they are located in every room except 5th bedroom) and their fan blower noise blocked any sounds from other rooms (some people could go to bed early, and some could sleep-in undisturbed). There were also satellite TV's in each of the rooms. The large kitchen had everything we could want and the house had plenty of space for us. It was very clean, and didn't have any mildew / mold smell that is prevalent in many older homes in Maine. My only complaint is the first floor bathroom has cowboy doors that don't lock, and don't go floor to ceiling. We recommend the house to others, and will consider going back.
