This was our second enjoyable occasion renting this Keowee home. The location is convenient to marina, grocery stores, etc. The property offers beautiful lake views from the dock. The home layout is ideal for entertaining & spacious enough to accommodate secluded moments of solitary. Truly a pleasure.
We rent vacation homes an average of 6+ times per year & I must note how nice it is to come to one that is actually stocked for entertaining (bowls, platters, frig space, multiple sinks, an ice machine, etc).
Our guests mentioned that their beds were comfortable & they loved the shuffleboard court. The Master bed may be due for a flip or a swap soon as a hump is starting to form but overall, a lovely experience & exceptional lake home.
What an immaculate property in a great location for any event at Clemson! We used it as home base for graduation and would definitely come back again for a football week with the new Graduate!
My family and dear friends rented the home over Labor Day. We had a fun time, relaxing on the boat after a great opening football weekend. The home is beautiful -- very well appointed. Lynn was super helpful too. We will definitely recommend this home and will try to book again for another game.
We couldn't of asked for a better location, and home. The house description was accurate, the layout and amenities great. Lynn was very helpful and made it very easy for us newbies to this type of rental. We will definitely want to return.
We absolutely loved this house! So open and full of natural light, no need for lights on during the day. The rooms were all spacious, beds comfortable (I had some problems with the bed we slept in but I have back issues so only my own bed will do) and the kitchen was great! We did have a devil of a time operating the stove and oven for the first couple of days until we figured it out (it's complicated and we own/operate restaurants for a living!) but we used the gas grill daily. And having 2 dishwashers in the kitchen was a HUGE help in keeping up with the dishes. There is a great deal of lighting in the house and it was very convenient that everything was labeled. There is a TV/DVD player both upstairs and downstairs. If you watch TV on the upstairs set, make sure someone that knows how to operate remotes is working them as there are 3 remotes (one for the TV, one for the DVD/surround sound and one for the DirecTV) and it can be very confusing.
The landscaping was beautiful and natural and sloped down to the dock where the water was perfect for swimming and kayaking because it's on a finger of the lake and no boats ever come down (just a couple of people in canoes). The water is blue/green and very clear. The lake is GORGEOUS with lots of beaches that you can stop off at to take a swim.
Grocery shopping is convenient and very close by and the marina is just down the road as well. I absolutely recommend this property for a relaxing vacation...you won't regret it!
This was an exceptional lake house for two large families. The home was well appointed/decorated, open and inviting, and had lots of amenities. We had absolutely everything we needed and then some. A couple of things the owners don't advertise too clearly in their ad that we found to be wonderful surprises are as follows: (1) the main kitchen has two dishwashers, and there was also a third dishwasher downstairs at the wet bar. Two dishwashers in the kitchen made clean-up for our large crew a snap. Perfect for a large group rental house getaway. I wished I would have thought of that when remodeling my personal home kitchen. Very SMART!!! (2) There is a full size refrigerator, and an separate bar ice machine, located in the basement bar area. WE NEVER RAN OUT OF ICE!!! We found these to be extremely useful amenities that don't typically exist in rental homes. Most owners don't realize this, but having two refrigerators is an absolute necessity for a lake house when you have a large hungry and thirsty crowd. The separate bar ice machine allowed us to fill coolers for the boat and still have plenty of ice for our before and after dinner cocktails each night. (3) This home probably has one of the best air conditioning systems I've experienced in any rental home. It blows ice cold dehumidified air, and we were extremely comfortable the entire time. Lynn, the owner, was great to work with and we had absolutely no issues, no stories, no problems. The only are where I can recommend for improvement upon is minor. We could have used a few more bar glasses for cocktails downstairs, as well as used some more large plastic drink cups for outside. Other than that there was more than plenty of dishware, flatware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. We will definitely stay here again. In fact, I just tried to book it for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, but was is already booked. :(
