What a lovely place to spend my 60th birthday with family including our dogs. Your cottage - suite is beautiful and very well appointed.
Thanks for the fruit, muffins and coffee. Such a nice touch !
The patio was great and a very relaxing place to sit with the dogs. We had a great weekend.
Renee is a great host, she provided us with maps, restaurants recommendations, and was on hand to answer any questions we had. The property is immaculately clean and bed comfortable. A close drive to town or secluded getaways depending on your preference.
Good location for visiting Lake on the Mountain and Picton area. Close to Sandbanks Prov. Park. Clean and comfortable suite. A outdoor dining table with a shaded area would be a nice extra. Our host Renee was very welcoming. The beautiful yard was loved by our dog! Lots of room for fetching! Recommended for anyone visiting the county!
This was a girl's get-away to visit the wonderful area of wine, shopping and fun. We stayed one night at Four Poplars and it was very nice. Renee was very welcoming and her suite was immaculate and cozy. We loved sitting out on the deck, however, it got was very hot in the afternoon and we would have loved an umbrella for some shade. All in all a very nice stay!
A friend and I recently booked a last-minute one-night stay at Four Poplars, and this was definitely one of the better guest suites I've stayed at. The owner was very welcoming, very informative about places to visit in the area, and was extremely friendly, making us immediately feel right at home. The guest suite was immaculate, offering large bedrooms, a kitchen with ample cookware and dishes, a tv with satellite, and a lovely deck to sit outside and watch sunsets or sunrises. What impressed me most was that Four Poplars is also pet-friendly, and my very active dog was able to run off-leash and play with his ball in the expansive yard. The location is approx. 5 minutes from downtown Picton (a lovely little town with many shops), and the Sandbanks just 20 minutes away. I'd heartily recommend Four Poplars to anyone who is planning a visit to the area. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
Just got back from a fantastic couple of nights stay at the Four Poplars with my wife and parents. This beautiful suite is the perfect base to experience the PEC area. Our host Renee was so warm and inviting, and provided some amazing recommendations of places to go eat and find local produce. We definitely all came away dreaming of a return visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at Four Poplars.... starting with fresh fruit upon our arrival as well as coffee and cream for our use later. Getting there in late afternoon we were able to get to a Winery before they closed, the owner pointed us towards - which was just down the road from our accommodation. Everything was spotless and clean. It was just what we needed after being to many wineries during the day - was privacy and a wonderful sense of relaxation on the huge patio overlooking the field with four swallow birdhouses ( and the wee ones had just fledged!) Our daughter had joined us for the weekend and she felt such a sense of comfort and relaxation as we just sipped wine on the patio while the sun slowly sank. A wonderful 5 days indeed.
