Very enjoyable weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very spacious and well-furnished. High quality mattresses made for great sleeping. Views across the lake are stunning from both floors. Short drive into town for shopping, groceries, etc. Very recommendable!

good condition. Needs a couple of monor repairs

  • 4 of 5

Overall property was in good condition, just needs a few minor repairs. The swing on the back porch was broken. Dry rot from exposure to the weather. Half the lights on the chandelier in the dining room need to be replaced. The hinges to the bathroom door on the ground floor need to oiled.(Very squeaky). Wish the guests could use the lake, maybe can discuss at next HOA meeting. Great location- like the fact that it is very close to the national park which was the best part of the trip.

Awesome location and great house!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great for our family mini vacation. We wanted to see moose and we saw them in Rocky Mountain National Park, and around the lake every day that we were there. We also enjoyed seeing elk, deer, otter, and fox. The living area was very comfortable as were the beds. We fixed all our meals in the large, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed seeing Newsies at Rocky Mountain Rep. Theatre, in Grand Lake. We would stay here again if we get another vacation to Colorado. We enjoyed waking up and enjoying our coffee while looking out over the lake. The only issue was the road was closed right before the house and it was difficult to find at night - luckily we called and got the exact location.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Lovely remodeled kitchen and new carpets. Wish there was a way to the doc other than the master bedroom downstairs and going out the front door. Doc needs stain due so make sure to wear shoes (splinter risk). Beautiful view. Huge kitchen. Huge common space. You will

Love it!!

Nice home with gorgeous views, but no lake access

  • 4 of 5

The home is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed (lots of cooking supplies, laundry detergent, etc). The views are stunning! The home is spacious.

We have been coming to Grand Lake almost every year for our family summer vacation. We found Columbine Lake a few years ago and have never wanted to go anywhere else since finding this gem. However, the new HOA rules with not allowing guests to basically even touch the lake is absurd. You can't boat, kayak, fish or swim on the lake. Basically the dock "is for sitting only"? We won't be back because of this rule, I'm sad to say.

Beautiful cabin, beautiful location, beautiful views!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I, with our 3 oldest children, enjoyed this cabin as a graduation celebration for our oldest. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and homey, and the view was spectacular. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds were comfortable. We loved walking around the lake and the quick access to Grand Lake. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because there was only enough hot water for one 3-minute shower at a time before the water got cold - I'm talking mountain lake water cold. We called the management company our first morning there (they were probably closed as it was Sunday), and they never got back to us. Managing showers for 5 with only 3 minutes of hot water at a time wasn't convenient, besides the fact that we would've all liked longer than 3 minutes. Hopefully that was just an oversight - hopefully the water heater hadn't been turned up for rental season yet. If just an oversight, we'd love to come back for another visit, as the owners put a lot of work into making you feel welcomed and comfortable.
