We had a wonderful time getting away from it all during our stay at Piccola Rosa. The house is spacious, open and bright with high ceiling on the first floor. It's great for two families with kids because of the two sitting areas (one on the first floor and one in the basement). The loft is cozy and the all the kids wanted to stay there! The outside patio is secluded and surrounded by beautiful evergreens. It has a great restaurant and bakery within walking distance. But best of all, it is a 2 minute walk to a gorgeous beach.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. There was plenty of room for our group of four to spread out. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we loved cooking there. We had great conversations in the lovely living room in front of the beautiful fireplace. The beach is super close for daily walks, and the peacefulness of this place stays with you for a long time after you leave.
We loved staying in this house! It has it all - updated kitchen, comfortable beds, close to the beach, Whistle Stop cafe/grocer around the corner, and great outdoor "living room." This was a perfect spot for our family vacation and we would highly recommend this house for a fabulous get away!
Very functional house with a great layout. Don't be fooled by it's seemingly small facade, this house provides a surprising amount of well used space. Just a few short steps to get to a walkway leading to the beach. The loft sleeping area allows a wide open space for many kids to sleep and they feel like it's their own little hideout. The back yard furniture is very comfortable. Plus best of all this house is a short walk to both the Whistle Stop for breakfast pastries and the Red Arrow Roadhouse(try the blue cheese fries)
Our family (2 kids ages 10 and 8) has stayed here several times and the place is a gem. Just a few steps from the beach, the house is much more spacious than it looks. Master bedroom and kids bedroom on the first floor, a loft that is perfect for the older kids, and a finished basement with bedroom for two more adults or older kids. Sweet patio for group meals or hanging out in the evenings. The Whistle Stop is just a few blocks away for morning muffins and coffee. This place really has it all. I recommend it 100%!
We have stayed at this house multiple times, and will certainly rent it again. The private association beach is basically right across the street, so just a couple of minutes walk. So close that it's easy for an early morning walk on the beach, or coming back for lunch, or for a nice campfire in the evening.
The house is surprisingly big inside and easily sleeps two families with kids. There is a triple bunk room for little guys, and a cool loft for older kids. Plus, two other private rooms for the parents, each with their own bath. The back patio is cool also, for a glass of wine under the stars after the kids go to bed.
A pleasant surprise was the short walk up to the corner. We went almost every morning for some fresh baked muffins from the Whistle Stop. Then, one of the best dinner places in town -- the Red Arrow Roadhouse- was again just a short walk up the one evening we didn't want to cook ourselves.
