Wonderful in Every Way

  • 5 of 5

This is a spacious, beautifully appointed, and totally comfortable apartment right in the midst of historic Newport. We stayed New Year's weekend, too cold for leisurely walks, but we were within easy distance of any number of good restaurants. With less bitterly cold days, we would have done a lot of sightseer gawking. The owners are warm and wonderful hosts. There is off street parking, important in an old community with narrow streets. The photos give you a good idea of how nice the apartment is, but can't convey the amazing sense of light and space we felt being there. We would definitely return.

Wonderful, cozy loft in the heart of Newport

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our first wedding anniversary at Amy and Berts loft a few weekends ago and have nothing but rave things to say. From the throughtful breakfast foods and fruit left for us to the absolute ideal location in downtown Newport, it was such a wonderful place to stay, with equally accommodating hosts. Amy made sure to cover every detail in advance, including providing us a full list of recommended restaurants and wineries, and they checked in to make sure we were comfortable after arriving in Newport. They were also very flexibile with check in and check out time (you just have to let them know in advance!). We’ve already been recommending Newport and this loft to family and friends, and we home to be back soon!

The location and layout of beautiful apartment couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

Everything is within a short walking distance. The owners were overly accommodating and very gracious with leaving extra touches such as bagels and cream cheese, coffee, creamer, a bottle of Champaign, and fresh fruit upon our arrival. The apartment has it's own parking spot off the street. Once we parked the car, we didn't need to get in it again because of the central location. The owners also made us aware ahead of time of local events that were happening this weekend and restaurants in the area that they like so we could plan ahead. The apartment was clean, with any amenity you could think of and more. We are looking forward to going back and spending more time there!

Newport Aerie

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Penthouse Loft very much. Amy and Bert left us coffee and milk & light breakfast for the morning and a bottle of wine and a few nibblies for afternoon. Much appreciated! Conveniently located with quintessential views of Newport from a 3rd floor vantage point. We thought we would use the outdoor grill on the roof deck but the weather changed. Nice to have as an option. The apt. was clean, open and carefully designed. A very comfortable bed and bedroom area. The only slight negative was that the Mission style couch and chairs in living area had very little seat cushioning! Flat cushions on a wooden base. Other than that, a wonderful getaway! Highly recommended.

A Romantic Gem

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed this romantic gem in late September. We loved its smartly decorated but comfortable interior and being able to grill out on its roof garden while taking in the breathtaking lighting on the steeple of the historic Trinity Church across the street. Not only is the location so convenient and the off street parking a draw, but we felt surrounded by history

and charming gardens below. We were even able to stow our bicycles in the entry below. Owners, Amy and Bert live within the complex and are most helpful. While on the third floor, the staircase is very wide, substantial and quite well lighted. You will be charmed by this choice and want to return! We do!

Charming Studio in Downtown Newport

  • 5 of 5

This studio space is full of character and has a great vibe with the open space. Views are spectacular from every angle, and the location to the harbor / downtown Newport is perfect. We parked our car and walked just about everywhere. Amy and Bert are wonderful people, and pay attention to every detail. Our only regret with the space is that we didn't get to spend more time there!
