Perfect vacation spot!
This is the second year we had the opportunity to rent this property and once again it was amazing! The location is ideal and the home was once again very clean and accommodating with all the conveniences of home. The views of both the lake and mountains were stunning and we enjoyed taking in gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. We also enjoyed kayaking, swimming, fishing, watching fireworks over the water and just relaxing or playing yard games on the lawn. The owner was such a pleasure to work with; we look forward to our next stay here! Thank you Jaimee!
Beautiful lake house! One of the nicest locations on the whole lake!
Enjoyed our 2nd year in a row at this lovely lake home. Very comfortable, well appointed and clean. Everything you need is here. There is nothing like watching the loons and ducks in the morning having coffee, or the perfect sunsets by the firepit!
Thank you again, for sharing this special place with us!
The interior of the house is in excellent shape and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed cooking breakfast on the large gas stove with a griddle! Outside was even better! Private with 2 small beach areas for wading/swimming. A large dock easily accommodated our 17' bass boat and a 14' kayak with plenty of room to spare. The lawn lakeside had ample room for a shade tent. I was pleasantly surprised at how little boat traffic there was at this end of the lake. Loons, ducks, and geese cruised by every morning. An eagle and owls were seen and heard as well!
We had family and friends visit several times and everyone agreed that this is a special place. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing this gem!
The perfect getaway spot
We loved this cottage which offers a beautiful and private location as well as all the conveniences of home! We enjoyed swimming, floating, kayaking, and taking in the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The owner was such a pleasure to work with and we look forward to vacationing here next year and would highly recommend to others. Thank you Jaimee!
Lovely, peaceful, immaculate
What a delightful stay we had at this lovely lakefront home on Highland Lake. A just right size for 4 people, right on the water, with a private dock, and we were able to bring our dog :), we couldn't have asked for anything better. The windows made even the inside of the house feel close to nature (we loved it). The house was immaculate, the Kitchen was a joy to cook in, everything was just as it was described in the write up. We enjoyed watching the Sea planes practice their landings and take-offs too. It appeared to be a pretty busy lake over the weekend. Sunrise and sunset were so peaceful, just what we wanted to celebrate an early Father's Day. My youngest played in the water and fished, and my oldest took the canoe out and went from one end of the lake to the other. We really didn't venture out much, but we did go to the deli at the Stoddard Country Store and the food was great! We also went to the boat launch, and the folks there were delightful to chat with. All in all the area was very friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to come back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Wonderful Lakefront Cottage! Lovely level Waterfront!!!
Extremely clean and modern Lakefront Cottage! The yard and water Frontage was fantastic! The home itself is beautiful, well-appointed and everything you could ask for. Can't wait to go back next year!!!
Thank you Jamie, for such a lovely week at the lake.
Stoddard is very close to two quaint towns: The town of Hancock NH, which is home to the Hancock Inn, The Harris Center for hiking, and a Saturday Farmers Market. Peterborough is a short distance and has many restuarants, the Peterborough Players, a theater company and lots of shopping. Lastly Mt. Monadnock is about a half hour away if you want to get your heart rate up with a hike.
