The home has 2 wood burning stoves, one on the main level, one in the basement, allotting for the warmth and drying of swim or winter gear after a day of fun!
Outdoors you'll find the lake, swimming, boating, sunbathing, BBQ-ing and even basketball among the shared vacation possibilities...
Inside there are 2 FULL Bathrooms.
The 'Basement', offers two private Bedrooms, Laundry area and full Bathroom
The main level, houses the Dining/Living areas, a Bathroom a stocked Kitchen, an area to hang coats, and access to up or down stairs.
The 'Attic' houses an open floor plan with 2 HUGE picture windows and sleeping for 4 among 2 twin and 1 Full beds (plus there is a futon)
TVs in the Living and Attic areas- no cable

The Owners - Dana & Lena Hatch
Dana has lived in the village of Salisbury Cove his whole life (so far).
With Visits to Georges Camp with Gramma & Donnells Ponds family's 'Camp' since 1963.
Dana bought a small camp and moved to Georges Pond during and after extensively renovating and adding onto the 'camp' making it a home, from 2002 - 2008.
His family has deep roots on the Island and throughout Maine.
Lena is originally from California and lived in Florida 23 years before visiting New England and Maine in 2009. She fell head over heels in love with the area. Looking for an excuse to stay (forever) with the idea of being alone and happy, she bought a Made in Maine store in Bar Harbor, which moved her to Maine in 2011.
In December of 2011 Lena and Dana met as Dana was late Christmas shopping, and visited Lena's Holiday vendor booth. The rest is making history!
They were married April 29, 2012 at the fountain in Agamont Park in the town of Bar Harbor, Maine.
Dana has 3 lovely girls, 2 in law children and 3 grands. 2- princes and a princess.
Lena has 7 chidren, 3 in law children and 2 grand princes, so far....
Dana's mother and father have 7 children, his mother wanted 10!
Dana has been a Carpenter for 30 plus years, in business for himself 10.
Lena has been a stay at home mother for 21 years, during which time, she was a regular events coordinator - and volunteered in and managed hospitality for 500 plus attendees for 20 years.
She started her own business in 2004, and owned a Made in Maine Gift Shop in Bar Harbor for 4 seasons.
They now own Heathwood Inn & Suites Bar Harbor, in Dana's home Village of Salisbury Cove in the township of Bar Harbor www.heathwoodinn.com

Dana's family has enjoyed Georges Pond for generations as well as Donnel's Pond in Franklin (6 miles away). His Grandmother had a 'camp on Georges Pond Rd, it is still in the family. His parents & siblings still have a camp at Donnel's. Many Happy memories lie here. The beauty is immense. to hear the sound of ice shifting in the winter months from your home can truly touch the emotions with beauty difficult to contain
The views are beyond belief. Keep the camera ready at the front door, as you may want to fly outdoors when you see the blue jay/hummingbird/geese, ducks/eagles/otter/beaver, etc....
Georges Pond Haven Sits in Franklin in the Downeast Region of Maine. There is a large Lake/Pond a hop and skip from the front door. Bass/Brown Trout/Pickerel/& White Perch have been known to bite on a line or two here. The hiking opportunities are endless. Schoodic/Black/Catherine's/Caribou/Tunk..., etc are among the hikers haven of possibilities. There is a 120 mile long ATV Trail 3 miles away (Sunrise Trail). Blueberry Barrens span the downeast area by hundreds of acres. In fact, the Wyman's plant is only 17 miles away! One is welcome to glean the blueberry fields after the harvest in early August. In hunting season, this area has state owned lands, where one can find deer/bear/partridge...There are immense trails a short walk from the 'Camp'. Donnell's pond is 6 miles away and offers additional nearly year round fishing /boating/swimming/camping hiking options galore. The salmon/togue/brook trout have been known to take some bait there, among other species. The Bold Coast Puffin Tours are a 1 & 1/2 hour drive out of Cutler, Maine and are highly recommended by us! If you take a day trip there you are only 20 minutes from the Maine/Canada border and can enjoy Roosevelt-Campebello Island as well. at Lubec/Eastport/Campebello, you'll see about 5 Lighthouses. The picture taking possibilities at Georges Pond and beyond are endless. Georges Pond has eagles/ducks/geese/otter/beaver, etc...for the wildlife enthusiast.
Acadia National Park Entrance on Mount Desert Island is 27 Miles away, The Schoodic Entrance of Acadia National Park is an amazing place to visit as well - Open all year round, it is 20 miles from GPH. The Schoodic Peninsula, one will find, adds to the endless adventures of sightseeing and exploration. There are amazing coastlines, wave action of note, rock formations, breathtaking views. The 'Camp' is Only 45 miles from Bangor, 16 from Ellsworth.
